in Islamic wealth distribution to heirs of the deceased (fara'id) there are specific rules.

actually 1st they have to total up the deceased assets etc.

then see whether deceased have any outstanding loans/borrowings, so need to pay off his/her debtors.

then from that balance, divide by 2.

1/2 is to be distributed by will if the deceased did make a will.

the balance 1/2 must be distributed using fara'id.

where daughters/spouse/parent/siblings still get a share (in case these ppl are left out from the will).

what the siblings and heirs did here is obviously wrong.

yes siblings get some share, but i can assure you it's not and shouldn't be all.

and as mentioned, stealing from orphans is more sinful than just plain stealing...
