i still cannot believe all the passenger & driver flung out so easily from car. car seatbelt is pretension belt. Impossible it to fly out from vehicle easily. Especially driver is holding the steering. how can he slide out so easily. I assume both driver & passenger did not wear seat belt. Or their seatbelt is being hold by belt stopper

According to many witnesses, the Myvis were racing. Considering the typical speeds I've seen most people drive at on the highways, probably more than 110 because they need to overtake each other. And Myvis aren't exactly light, as it's still thousands of kilos of steel. With that much mass and speed, it's not really strange if the resulting force from the collision is enough to throw adults out of their vehicles. Even with seatbelts.

regarding the seatbelt issue, lemme say something from personal experience of my close fren. my fren and his worker (worker is the driver) inside his kembara, high centre of gravity car, lost control at 50+km/h and hit a FEW trees (palm trees, small ones), and barrel rolled, even with seatbelts, the driver end up laying on my fren the passenger, totally shifted seat. so it's possible.

another of my fren who passed away in a car accident, was hit at the driver side by a car that beat the red light, my fren didn't fly out of the car but his car was flying in the air eventhough he just start moving from traffic light, so healso shifted over to the passenger side, even with seatbelts, and die on the spot.

so we don't know the real impact speed of the myvi but the pajero seemed to bend A LOT from being hit at the driver side. even with seatbelts, the driver and passenger could still fly out of the car even with seatbelts
