hey there maxringo! i got the interview biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif is the sponsorship better than jpa-mara's though? cause if it isn't, then there's no use in going for the whole assessment and you might take other deserving people's spot as well

Not sure about the JPA-MARA, I think PESP grants you the freedom to choose your overseas universities. Need more confirmation on this.

depends on whether you want to have a long term of bond with government(for jpa mara)although they said petronas scholars are bonded to petronas but rumour had it that(which i am pretty sure is true)that after u finish ur studies,u will have a waiting period of 6 months for petronas to call u to fill in their vacancies, not sure whether u have to go through interview again or not but if u do not receive call('cause so many ppl want to work there) u can find ur own job but pay back some of the money petronas SPONSOR u before.for medicine,it is encouraged to have bond with government,or else u wont be given preference for vacancies in housemanship(no job loh,so many issues with medical graduates nowadays)

But u should be able to know where ur passion lies or else if you choose something with lucrative offer but not something that u are interested in,i don't know how u can pull it through when hardship comes,it is the passion that drives you.which one do you like then?

hey im a bursary student too. but at least try getting your hands on a scholarship that will support up to your first degree. im pretty sure you know that the bursary only covers up until pre u right? and even if you score and get an offer from cambridge, you still have to compete with other bursarians, and non-bursarians as well, for the jpa scholarship ( it's new this year. haish why the 97s always kena )

Go for it first. If you get the scholarship at the end, then you reconsider your options. How I wish I get to be assessed too sweat.gif

Indeed, the 97's are always the "pioneers". From KBAT to new policy changes, haish sweat.gif
That said, if you do get accepted into Cambridge, meaning unconditional offer, you will be having a slight advantage. I mean, who doesn't want to sponsor a remarkable student like that right?
