I just bought a TV and the delivery people had to get a S-video cable to connect my astro decoder to my TV. There the delivery guys charged me extra for the cable.. fair enough.

But I wanted to know how much does a S-video cable cost? It's not really long. But he told me it's rm150. I sensed something wrong but I don't want to make accusation until I can get some opinion first.

So was I cheated or it's really around that price.

A one meter S video cable only cost less than RM20..and its a composite RCA to 4pin Svideo.

s-vids cables are dirt cheap and i'm sure almost everyone in LYN forum has one lying around in their house

i myself has 4 s-vids cables that is still in wrappings since i never used them. the quality sucks hell if compared to composite and it comes free with some purchase

argh.... that means most likely i was cheated. Just when I do one less homework regarding my purchase, they cheated me.

Just to keep you guys update, the cable is yinyewang, high grade double shielded s-video cable.. whatever that means.. the plug and the pins are gold colour, not sure if that is gold plated or whatever.

Do those discription mean anything to you guys?

anyway last time i bought gold plated S-video form RM20-30 and that was 2-3 years ago.. no brand one..

I just want to know how to use the S-cable on PS2 connected to TV???..

Anyway, i've got back my money, they took back the cable and made full refund. Now I am using a RCA cable, will get a s-video cable myself later.
