Doesnt matter what tension you play with, most important is what supplement you take.

Np bro, just sharing. By the way it does gives you better control & better hitting "feeling" though.

yaya , you mention a good point here too ~ the reason i pull slightly higher tension like about 26 or 27 lbs , the hitting sound is much more better .. i have no idea what if i strung my racket until 32 LBS , the sound must be very horny LOL

lol...just beginner noob here. i bought a racket i cant recall its brand name now, played couple of rounds and then quit oredi... tongue.gif

but i feel higher tension feels more shiok when hitting the shuttlecock...while lower tension (like what we used to have when buying cheap badminton racket back in my younger years) it feels soft and like need more energy to hit it....since the softness sort of like absorb the impact/energy? no?

Higher tension does feel damn shiok as it sounds better too.. but with the wrong technique, you may hurt yourself.. (may, not fo'sho you will hurt yourself)..

Now take this example, a guitar..

When strung at just right, the key word here is just right tension and not the correct tension, running your fingers along the guitar strings make it vibrate.. imagine the vibration as the rebound.. with a good rebound you need less strength to make the shuttle travel..

when strung too loose, you can see that it has no vibration at all hence no sound when u run your fingers along the strings.. hence no rebound which equates to more strength to swing and hit the shuttle.. hence your conclusion on the softness absorbing the impact/energy..

there is no right or wrong tension, I strongly believe you must find your own "tension" preference..

Hope this answers your question..

tension relate to sweet spot and how your arm can accept the recoil etc le.

i might be above average muscular but i like 23-25lbs problem is im somewhat intermediate but not yet pro on the technique thats why i like bigger sweet spot. and also i def alot so softer tension helps me hehe

Usually there are no problems in stringing tension out of the range which is 24lbs or more. The thing is, once it's broken Yonex will not entertain you therefore high tensions are more prone to breakage which resulted by mis-hit on frame, poor string-job or combination of both.

That is why you find professional able to go outrageous tensions & sometimes their racquet breaks in between matches, for better accuracy, feel & control as they have the right technique & fitnesse to do clears given with those kind of tension.
