Is it worth buying a PS4 now? Planning to get one for Persona 5, but the release date isn't confirmed yet.

The list of games available now is also very little and not many interesting ones.

at RM1500 - RM1600 range I wouldn't buy, very little exclusive game title and the life cycle of a console is not as long as PC. Although console player would say otherwise.

Its fine if you have that money to blow, but if you are looking for maximum amount of stuff you can do with a PS4 I'd say that amount is better spend on a good quality graphic card and ram.

It is only WORTH the investment if you have the money to blow on the entire PSN subscription (kinda worth it, if you can finish as many games as possible within the time you subscribed)

Wouldn't be a problem if you don't play multiplayer

I would suggest to borrow from a friend and play those few games you like would be better. Like what I did with heavy rain last time, you don't often re-visit old titles.

lazada selling ps4 console . range rm13xx-14xx . something got 10% -12 % discount .

i move from pc gaming to console gaming . i would say it worth any cents u pay for ps4.

u dont need sit infornt of the tiny display pc everytime u play games . u can relax and sit at sofa and play at large display up to 60'' LED TV

last time the money i spent to upgrade my pc , ram, gc , processor is about N x PS4 price . d

PC can set up with a sofa and 60"LED TV. Like I have mention, what PS4 can do PC can too.

On the other hand if you play a PS4 exclusive game with multiplayer would you expect your friend to get one too just for that game? Hence PC is the better option for me.

This are all just personal opinion, I just don't prefer console because they can't adept like PC.

And also with my pool of friends that regularly try out new game PS4 can't provide like what a PC would.

So for those who are rich and don't mind blowing money then sure, why not.

As for me that amount could have so many option for so many different things. So unless I am a super big fan of something I won't spend it on a PS4.

PC strictly for Japanese Artistic Video consumption. brows.gif

On a more serious note, just no like how the price gouging method of GPU products. It's not cheap to take advantage of those higher gaming resolutions, huge camera MP and 4k videos, the price for speedy PCs just not an affordable option given the current pricing. So the argument of cheaper pc rigs vs ps4 was mooted unless you are talking 4 to 5 cycles behind hardwares. The problem is every 3 months another CPU and GPU upgrade announcement and requirements imposed by software developer just getting more demanding with every new iteration.

Looking at you ADOBE. My 3 year old workstation already lagging behind the current creative suite of programs as everything gotten bigger in file size. The base titan x cards already gonna cost me 2 units of ps4.

PS4 exclusives is reason enough to buy PS4. Bloodborne FTW. Also what not to like when you can play AAA games on launch date and not delayed PC port.

yes, worth it. Now waiting for gen 2 PS4.

The usual argument always follow, pc is better, faster, nicer.......with all the hassle to set up and get it playing as well. I am lazy, i just want to go back, sit on my couch, switch on the console and play. No need to think of all the hassle every time i have a new game that i wanted to play

depends on their own preference.. some might say pc is way better than ps4 due to graphics ..but not everyone can afford high rank of master race grade whistling.gif
also, due to different pc configurations, some games might be broken on PC A, while PC B can run it smooth and so on.. (inb4 nvidia vs amd)

while for ps4, same like iphone ecosystem, all get the same patch and configurations laugh.gif ..just for example whistling.gif
i get ps4, and physical game disc..so after finished the game or get bored with it, I can just sell the game or trade with others..something on pc gaming can't do (ie steam, cd key based games)

buying now or later is up to ur own economic condition. worth to buy or not is depend whether u are eager to play those PS4 exclusive games or not. PS4 gen2? PS4 slim? The PS4 will always be the PS4, they won't simply upgrade the hardware for better performance (looking PS3 as example). They can't afford any complain because of new hardware. By the time they finish do all those hardware testing, they will just call it as PS5 instead. biggrin.gif

all PS slims suck.
they broke down very easily la...
look at psOne, PS2 (slim), PS3 (slim)....if u worked at video game shop then u will see ppl keep sending back to the shop for repairs coz lens broke, motherboard burnt, etc...

FRAGILE LK HELL!

GEN1 Playstations FTW!

New 1TB is very worthy
*
I hear the "new" 1Tb's are actually using the older models, don't know how true that is on our end in Malaysia, and this was back in August. The newer ones were the 500gb ones apparently back then. I forget the model number associated. Maybe that has changed now hopefully.
Here's an article about it from august..

Sorry if this is old outdated news and I hope it's not the case anymore. Been thinking of buying one recently but need to win the lottery first hehe.

If you have around 10 games you want to play on PS4, worth it already. By the time you finish 10 you'll probably have another list coming.

If you wanna buy a PS4. Next year would be the best year imo. FF7, Nier 2 and the new game by Vanillaware. Sure they're mostly Japanese devs but they're trusted people hahah

looking forward to purchase a PS4 console...Dunno when is the best time to buy, usually there will always be new version of PS4...the bluray also is quite expensive...PC gaming also need to spend >RM5000 for i7 and high end GPU...

I think a console is a better option...Although I do gaming seldomly...
