I am still shocked to see codemaster to release a much more sim focused rally game on Early Access. Seemed like they are taking a page from project CARS and Assetto Corsa by inviting the players into the development early on.

I guess moving towards the sim side with more racing, lesser annoying surfer dudes in Autosport has worked out for them.

I am really looking forward to how this game turns out. Still hope that the rumored Touring Cars game is true.

Dirt Rally is by far better than any of the Dirt games. It felt like those old Colin Mcrae games than Dirt games.

The stages are challenging while each era of rally cars has it's own unique characteristics. At the same time, the game is largely bug free and runs well, it felt like a full game than Early Access.

ohhh colin mcrae..i only play one of em..not sure which one..either the very first one or the sequel after it...it was damn long ago...very very technical...

well that wat i read on the review..but i aint really good at sim racing...but i have seen the controls can be change to suit different type of users...

A gamepad would play just fine.

The "sim" racing community had greatly exaggerated the game, Dirt Rally isnt much more "sim" than Grid Autosport because Dirt Rally is built based on Autosport's engine. The handling model is similar, especially tarmac but Codemaster had improved it a lot in Dirt Rally.

A 360 pad would be perfectly fine with the game. It is not that hard to drive but the tracks are a lot more tougher now because it is quite narrow and lengthy. Maybe some cars like those Group Bs are actually quite tough to drive but most of the cars in the are reasonable.

ah i see...the hardest racing for me is probably shift LOL...autosport is fine for me..i see..well i had a gamepad laying around...bought it juz for castlevania...haha...

i like some of those track..especially pike peak....

The problem with Shift was, the physics engine was not finished. There are a lot of bugs in the physics engine that made it hard to drive with the car's losing grip for no warning.

Dirt Rally is a harder game than Autosport. I do not think Dirt Rally's cars are hard to drive but the track are designed to make the driving in that game difficult.

Codemaster really adding up content. It was such a worth to get it on the EA.

It is the second last pack. There should be a 5th car but it was pulled back due to licensing issues.

The Norway pack will be the last one for Dirt Rally. Hopefully there will be a Season Pass for post release because I want more content in this game.
