 MNP issues from Maxis to Redone, Maxis unable to proceed with MNP

Hi All,

Would appreciate if someone could help me with this.

On 20th April, I proceed to port out 3 lines(principal) from Maxis to Redone. That day itself, all three lines received SMS, asking my permission to leave Maxis by replying with a "Y" or "N".

Two answered "Y" and one answered 'y'. From then onwards, I did not receive anymore instructions. Next day, I call Maxis helpline, to check the status of MNP. Replied was MNP was rejected due to one of the SMS reply was in small capital letter. I said, my intention was to port out from Maxis, and it does not matter what capital letter I am using. They said they would investigate the issue.

Long story short, from then on, numerous calls to them ended with answer like "will get back to you", "we are still waiting from the relevent dept for answer".

So today, I give them the final warning that if by monday I did not get a satisfactory answer, I will go to CFM or SKMM.

So did anyone resolve their problem thru CFM or SKMM?

Finally, get all three lines ported out to redONE. Almost 3 weeks to get things done.

For future porters, go to SKMM or CFM portal and read up their guide lines to get things going.

go complain cfm directly.maxis always create problem when porting out..

at least maxis ppl from complain department will call and inform u what is going on ..so far my issue and request were settled after complaining to CFM

So your's also porting issue? How long does it take after u complain thru CFM?

Have browse thru forums, heard terrible stories regarding porting out from telco, Didn't expect to happen on me....sigh!!!

Thanks for the heads up buddy. Have gave them dateline by Monday, then.....

doesnt matter actually small or capital y...my customer used to reply small y still success

So it is quite true, some telco would purposely create problems for custormers just to hold them and eventually give up on porting.

Luckily, there is CFM or SKMM for us to make complaint. And thru the internet and media, we can put these incident for the public to know and to shame them.

Contacted by Maxis's senior CS.

Was told reject reason was, two of the three numbers did not reply the SMS query of leaving Maxis.

I kept my cool, and replied:" why your reason is different from your other CS that I ask earlier on"....She was unable to answer...

So I ask about the porting issue, she said the other telco need to re-submit the MNP.(cos from her side, there is no MNP request) I told her, it was done on 21April2015 and the status from Redone said it's still pending. She ask me,"Are you sure?"

I answered her: "Yes", then she started to hint that Redone recently have server issue that she attended few days earlier. Then I told her: " The credibility of your side should be question not thiers". Again she when quiet.

She proceeded by saying she would call up Celcom.(redone is MNVO on celcom network). I am quite confuse on this part, but since Redone is MNVO on celcom, i keep quiet on this.

Later was told, celcom did not request to have these number to be ported. And she ask me, whether Redone did a 2nd porting request.(My mind keep thinking, what it has to do with Celcom).

Luckily, i have email from Redone, stating that as of 27April2015, all three numbers still pending, and the first request was rejected. I forwarded the mail to her and said will update me, when she sort out the problem.

All these info, have also been forwarded to CFM.


From the current situation, my views on this is, Either MNP did some mistake, but unable admit(Until now they can't tell me the exact reason) or they are really trying to piss their customer off, so that the customer would give up on porting...

I ported out last year from MAxis to Redone, and maxis took around 2 weeks

Did you call Maxis CS to find out why they take so long? What reasons or excuse they give you?

Now my status is in,"pending redone to register" from Redone, any idea what it meant?
