hi guys, do u know if there's a way to install astro on the go on mi box and be able to watch aotg? Mine is international version and after i installed the latest version of aotg on my mi box, it crashes when i run aotg. Any idea?

managed to run aotg after changing the keyboard layout. however the display is of the screen is sideway, is there a way to set the screen display correctly?

It works fine after changing the keyboard layout. Been busy these few days so i didn't proceed with the setting of the orientation. So now i have to tilt my head to navigate the aotg app. You need a mouse to navigate the app.

Update: OK, using set orientation app does the trick.

not sure what do u mean by blank screen. This is what i encountered and the way i solved

1. AOTG crashed whenever i launched the app. Solution: Change the default keyboard layout in the mi box to gboard (Google)
2. Once (1) done, the app can launch without issue. However since AOTG app by default is portrait mode, the display of the app will be tilted to the left by default. Solution: download set orientation app , launch it and force the orientation to landscape mode. Then relaunch AOTG, and the display will be correct.
3. Hard to navigate through AOTG app. Solution: Use a mouse.

You won't be able to find in playstore via Mi Box as Android TV doesn't support both officially. You need to download the apks and install them manually.

I use the MI box international version. It supports 4K. I use it to stream AOTG, i don't download the movies/tv shows to watch offline. So 8gb is more than enough.

Regardless, whenever you wanna buy, please do ask the seller if it's international version. I think the non international version (China ver) doesn't come with playstore.

To install AOTG, first you need to get the APK. There are two options (i prefer second option as it's safer):-

i. Search from the web for the APK and download the APK
ii. Download and install from google playstore to your AOTG on your phone. Then download and install AirDroid to your phone and run Airdroid and use AirDroid Web so that you can access your phone from PC (follow the instruction from you phone and make sure your phone and PC is on the same network). Once connected, on the PC, double click the app and search for "Astro". You should see Astro Go. Click Astro Go and click download the APK.

Once you have gotten the APK, you need to install the APK to Mibox via thumb drive. Follow the instruction as below:
