Jailbreak doesn't last forever. Never does. Just get a legitimate international version and enjoy forever.

You giving advice or actual confirmation?

My father only uses the box to watch Chinese tv serials, are they available in the 'legitimate international version'?

Advice and reality check! I don't know if it's available in the legitimate version or not, but there are tons of working legitimate sources that work beautifully, with a subscription of course!

Heard some buzz about dimsum.my and viki.com but since I don't watch Asian dramas I don't know much about what they offer.

For now, my entertainment needs are covered by Netflix and iFlix with the occasional trips to the cinema for blockbuster movies.

I guess the key takeaway is to do some research, try and maybe buy biggrin.gif

Unfortunately, what I see for legit sub-based content is either:

1. American content, or
2. Newer 'mainstream' Asian content.

Don't get me wrong, they are nice, but not really what my older folk want to be watching. I'm talking about those dreary daytime soap opera type shows in China produced for their local tv audience that have agricultural or historical settings (eg, the Japanese occupation). I guess it's like those Hokkien dramas on Astro channels that nobody really watches...
