Hi, I use "Tubio" to cast online video and "BubbleUPnP" to cast local contents from my phone (android) to my MiBox without problem. There are plenty of apps with the same function out there I guess u can get easily by searching DLNA. I understand the Mi Box does not support Google account sign-in.
