hello guys.. i have a problem with AOTG.. i bought Mi Box S and installed AOTG.. For the first few days AOTG works like charm.. but since yesterday AOTG always buffer and wont play in HD.. i checked my connection and everything is fine.. even netflix and youtube play super fast on my 500mbps unifi with the highest resolution possible.. any idea what is actually happening?..

Seem my current mi box is slowly dying, always blackout and one horizontal line. Press back and it's all okay by itself. Just it become more frequent.

Since I only watch Netflix, so there is no other choice of box other than this mi box s within the price range

This issue caused by showtime... Try Google showtime mi box to find the instruction to fix it. Maybe you don't need a new mi box yet ... Good luck

I thought it is originally problem from hdmi or hdmi port, but seeing this post and that guys screen is exactly what I've been encounter, then need to rethink again.

I didn't know how that guys single out the problem to showtime. Since showtime is in built app, remove the update doesn't help in my case. It will auto update and the problem will come back. I then notice showtime is enable it 'notification' by default, something that other app doesn't do.

So, this time disable the app, off its notification, and report to google as an unappropriate app- cause problem to the device.

Let see if the problem happens again in this 2-3 days

Anyone here have slowness issues when opening playtv@unifi app on their device? I have the latest apk ver. 7.9.6.
Just happened suddenly and all the while it was working fine.

i think 7.9.6 is the phone version, labeled "tmaphone".

latest for tablet/box is 7.9.5, labeled "tmapad".

Coming from minix-u9h, mibox s is a very capable & affordable box if your usage is only for streaming. e.g. netflix, iflix, youtube, iptv, etc. Expressvpn works fine too.

Should've bought this box earlier.

to me mibox does the jobs pretty well for my own usage, i don't play games on tv box hence nvidia is not required...and i am not fussy on those sounds system (DTS and whatnot)

yup, got prompt me to install the update, forget to SS the screen.

Second to this as well. Only thing I don't understand in some similar LYN forums complains about KODI not working and etc...I don't find any issues at all even 4K movies runs pretty good with my 100MB subscription.

only few possibilities i can think of kodi issues on mibox:
- insufficient storage due to many redundant apks installed
- users dunno how to use
- lemon unit
- face problem

kodi 18 works fine on my mibox S
