any recommended accessories to pair with mibox 3 (intl), still cannot get connected to 5ghz wifi(get connected but cannot go online), only 2.4ghz is able to go online. sweat.gif icon_question.gif

I also update, any different? I can't seen. Existing bugs still there and I don't see any has been fix.

Can mi box install and watch

1. Hypptv
2. Astro on the go
3. Netflix 4k

And does it all appear in playstore or need to sideload?

Which version is the best?

the latest update should mainly for the security update i believe?
previous version was until May 2018, the latest should be Aug 2018 i believe.

3 support up to 4K HDR and can directly get from Google TV Playstore.

If your WIFI AP is placed far away from your MiBox (different floor or few walls away), your MiBox's connection will be very unstable especially with the latest Oreo firmware.

To prove my point, try to place the Wifi AP next to your MiBox or connect your MiBox to your Mobile Hotspot and see whether you still experiencing the laggy or buffering issues.

My interim solution while awaiting Xioami's fix, is to setup a Wifi Repeater next to my MiBox.

Received Q5 remote(bluetooth).
Tested on Mibox International(MDZ-16-AB) and Sharp ue630x, voice function doesn't work.

Is the chromecast working for anyone? I cannot get it to work. I tried casting in youtube and it can detect my mibox. The mibox will be stuck in the screen loading the video. Waited like 2 minutes and it is still loading. Seem like casting is not working. Used to work but I haven't tried it a long time. Just updated the box to latest version.

i started using a USB Ethernet Hub ( http://www.ugreen.com.cn/product-578-en.html ) but disconnection are also happening on the Ethernet connection! shakehead.gif
less frequent compared to when it was on wifi, but I was expecting no more disconnecting ....

I read in other places that removing Wifi security entirely may work, but then this just seems unreasonable action just to make it work. Ethernet connection I am also getting disconnections.

Try connecting to your 2.4g network. The Mi Box has issues with the 5g network. I tried both and the 2.4g is now rock solid. No disconnections at all.

What encryption are you using? Try to limit it to AES only.

How about connect to your HP hotspot, to determine is the Box or Wifi AP issues.
