normal mibox remote controller works, but third party air mouse back button does not work anymore?

Problems after upgrading to Oreo:
1. Mouse back button cannot work
2. Google cast cannot connect after a day - works for 1 day only.

External remote back button is definitely broken. As of now, only able to back by using the stock remote. Not a big issue but a little annoyed

Anyway, how are u guys accessing your side loaded app in Oreo ? My side launcher seems to have disappeared during the upgrade haha.

I have been having a bad upgrade experience.

The MiBox upgraded fine. Then during restart gave me a HDCP 2.2 error as it was hooked up to a Pioneer 1080p .

So I moved it to my LG OLED via the LG SJ8 soundbar. No HDCP error but bad wifi issues. Could not get stable wifi for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. So did a factory reset...wifi issues resolved after that...then when I tried auto HDMI handshake to get the best resolution it returned a 720p which was shocking. I know for a fact that the LG OLED EDID clearly shows 4k/60p/YCbCr 4.4.4 . Not sure why this is so. Tried Netflix...oddly Netflix does not show me 4k UHD feeds but does not seem to show up. But HDR does....

All sorts of problems..still working thru them

i try my air mouse in most chinese apps, does not see have any issue.

Just manual set the resolution to 4K2K 60hz and problem solved. Netflix only give you 4K if your resolution set at 4K2K 50hz or 60hz.

i tried in kodi and aotg, both doesn't register back button. Even in the user interface itself like when i expand the settings, i press back button on my air mouse it does nothing lol

apart from that, so far so good. Everything seems to be working the same as previous and casting seems to be better. Oh mic input definitely seems to improved alot with google assistant.

Thanks Andrew, I did not try that. Will try that today...it's odd way BTW. Shd be auto sense by speed. I did set at 4k30 Hz..maybe that's why it did not show. I hv a 100Mbps line and do get high speeds during fast.com testing.

Ya this part is same as previous no fix.

4k 30hz make the menu very lag also. Best set as 60hz.

ES File Explorer runs but cannot recognised my existing external usb flash drive.
I eject out and put it in again, it seems not to have function to format it.

Any idea to format it?

Update:

Ok.. fixed that. Have get the usb out format it on my notebook as FAT32 put it back, let the system format it again when message prompt.

Funny though, I tried some Chinese apps and back buttons works normally lol

Am loving the cec feature though, powering on my mibox now turns on the TV as well. Turning it off of the tv as well

I think I read somewhere that it mainly works well only with fat32 format storage. Other format is a hit and miss depending on the software u use

Interestingly, just setting resolution to 4k/60 does not make Netflix play in 4k. I has to set resolution , restart MiBox and reload Netflix to get it to show.

air mouse back button is the known issue for alll users. used yr mibox remote back button.

some apps ok buttton on the air mouse does not work, have to use the mibox remote.

removed those apps so far with issue: es task manager, cartoonhd, uc broswer.
install puffin tv broswer works better.

So many problems? I had 2mibox, maybe can try on one and see how.
