QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jun 12 2017, 12:19 PM) Yes, its the bluetooth version with a mic. But I dont really bother using the mic. Maybe one day I should try. maybe i should try to roll back AG to a previous version then. I'm using the latest which i copied off my tablet.the mic does sound useless, but would like to make it work just as a proof of concept. btw, is it possible to test netflix without a subscription? am testing Kodi now, but haven't finish setting up the add on. Not familiar with the new Krypton interface. |

QUOTE(audiocool @ Jun 21 2017, 09:08 AM) I think I found the link. Great. Good luck with the process. http://miui.vn/forum/threads/mibox-3-enhan...earch-v2.38923/ it got V1 and V2.. V2 need to do some donation (at least 20000 VND = equivalent to RM3.7) only can get password to unzip the installation file. V2 come with some issue fixed like Airplay, miracast, etc maybe you can belanja the developer a coffee for this hard work since it's just rm3.7. |

QUOTE(audiocool @ Jun 21 2017, 11:22 AM) it is not just RM3.7 but need to pay for the processing fee for RM10... not read in details yet. anyone one of you have already tried the firmware from Vietnam website ? maybe u can try other forums then. Previously on xda, some guy was kind enough to host the file after the donated to the developer, but that was for the mibox 3S files. Not the white one. |

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 28 2017, 03:53 PM) From the sales page , it does mentioned that it's using Android TV 6.0 and the remote control does look the same as mdz-16-ab remote control with the mic button on the right. So does that means that it can't be mdz-19-aa since as u mentioned boot loader is locked means it's not possible to flash the Chinese fw to android TV right ? Guys, it is possible to flash 19-aa with international 6.0 rom. in fact, you can even go for the 7.0 beta, but once that is done, you cannot downgrade back.on 6.0 everything works fine, with google play and Youtube. BUT casting function only works from desktop. i've not figured how to cast from youtube phone app yet (lazy to try further; since this is just a good to have feature). i have not tried Netflix because i do not have any subscription plan, but i read that one can side-load the apk version to run it, which can be found on the net to bypass any restrictions. Not sure whether there are any limitations to HD or 4K content tho. Maybe someone can verify. Am using Astro OTG and Kodi happily on the since and everything works fine. although Astro Go initially had an issue where the main menu is 90 rotated, while kodi due to the recent tvadons shut down, is a bit difficult to get the correct addons which works, but currently i have icdrama and specto?? (not sure) working. the remote for the china model is the non-bluetooth model, so to get voice search to work, you can either use the official Android TV remote app which uses your phone as the remote (with voice) function, or to get the bluetooth version separately for just rmb99, i think. as for the original remote, which comes with the set, it is the new version with the touch feature, but since i have an older mibox 1s, that older remote works with the new set as well, just to share. so, the price does looks attractive, but i strongly believe is is a 19-aa version flashed with the international rom. |

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 28 2017, 05:48 PM) Yeah, that's the biggest give away Bro, like I mentioned in my post, I DO NOT have Netflix subscription to try. Thanks for your input, much appreciated !! Yes I do agree with you. Are you able to stream YouTube/netflix in 4k ? I read that YouTube version 11.20.54 on the phone will make the casting work. I'll check out the youtube version mentioned to see if casting works, but again that feature is just good to have for me, in the end u can easily search youtube videos u need thru the loaded youtube tv app. |

Guys,
One questions with Kodi on mibox. previously on mibox 1s and kodi16, when i select a drama let it load or buffer for some time, i can watch it when i am free later since everything's loaded. But with mibox 3S and kodi17, google's daydream screen saver will somehow interfere after some time, causing the loaded show to just stop and back to kodi's menu. Anyone facing the same problem and any solution to this? I've tried to turn off daydream, but no such option to do so. At most, i can only set it to a longer period of 1 hour before it starts. i've tried to disable Daydream and Background app, but after a reboot, it will come back on, since i am not rooted i guess. |

QUOTE(aceedburn @ Jul 10 2017, 11:25 AM) noted and thanks for the reply.in that case, would try out SPMC later. I read on Kodi forums that Kodi 17 seems to have issue with the screen saver / daydream while other version would not. Anyone can confirm this? |

QUOTE(eehong @ Sep 10 2017, 11:27 PM) hi, anyone using ASTRO GO on mibox? u'll need a device to "drag" the menus across, so a mouse would work. why not just plug in a normal USB mouse to test first.i've installed the APK but cant seem to find any way to control the app using the remote. any help guys? or need to control by mouse? will mibox recognize any USB or bluetotoh mouse? i'm using a logitech keyboard with touch pad combo. |

QUOTE(Orzie @ Nov 19 2017, 04:32 PM) Hi guys, just wondering any of you managed to root / install Google Play on Mibox 3S (MDZ-19-AA)? i can confirm that this method works. I've converted my unit successfully to the global rom, BUT note that the limitations listed are also true.Found a guide that mention can only root thru pc: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-st...-19-aa-t3521362 the converted unit has been my daily driver and working fine enough for me for my kodi fix. if you are okay with accepting those limitation, then feel free to try out. |
