It's possible. I've just managed to flash the global rom into the China set. Everything is working fine except for casting which only works from pc (not working if casting from phone youtube). Steps are quite straight forward, and can be found on a Vietnamese forum (Goole translate helps). But do take note of possible risk of bricking the unit. You have been warned.

Would like to ask everyone with the Malaysian set, does the remote comes with a mic? I haven't managed to try the voice search function, and while the remote does have the rotate touch and slide feature, I can't seem to find any pin hole for a mic. Voice search still works via a Google remote app, where the phone transmit the voice to the box.

Another question regarding Astro Go app. I am previously using the app on my older mibox 2, and it also works fine before I flash the global rom today. But now after side loading into this global rom, the main screen app is tilted down 90 (sleeping sideways), unless I managed to navigate until a show is playing and the I can expand the view to a proper full screen. Any idea how to solve this? I think am on the latest Astro Go version.

Yep, it's bluetooth - I can operate the mibox without line of sight.

No wonder. I guess I'll need to get that separately.

Yes, its the bluetooth version with a mic. But I dont really bother using the mic. Maybe one day I should try. You should try a different version of the OTG apk. could be a new or older version.

maybe i should try to roll back AG to a previous version then. I'm using the latest which i copied off my tablet.
the mic does sound useless, but would like to make it work just as a proof of concept.

btw, is it possible to test netflix without a subscription? am testing Kodi now, but haven't finish setting up the add on. Not familiar with the new Krypton interface.

It is working, however you can't find the HyppTV Everywhere in google playstore, you need to download apk from PC and install to mibox.

hi, any user here using the Asto Go app and facing the tilted menu problem? How you guys solve this? Any app to rotate the entire menu back?

i'm searching for older versions to try but APK mirror does not have this app.

Astro Go can't run on rooted device.

If you are buying the international version (Running Android TV launcher - instead of MiTV Launcher, with Android Playstore), it can run Astro Go by sideload the apk. Astro Go does not appear on Playstore for Android TV.
