^This. Seriously, it's bad enough being a girl, but being the only child and a girl... Seriously, in some aspects I think primary school boys have more parental freedom than me (I'm in university btw)... 7pm curfews anyone? Then again I suppose most secondary school girls have more freedom too so it isn't really so much of a gender thing...

Other than that... I'm not averse to taking medicines to relieve pain, so period's all fine and dandy. Just a bit annoying when you go travelling, and a bit gross. PMS (the moodiness before the period, please, not the pain during)... I actually suspect that causes more suffering among guys (guys in a relationship, specifically) than girls. =X Quote kennysia: PMS = Poor Man Suffering. Rofl.

It's true also that people make a big deal out of it when girls do things that only guys are expected to be able to do, even though there really isn't anything much about it. Like Tammy (a competitive S'pore DotA player) said on her blog: 'I honestly think my team receives so much fame and sponsorship because we're girls -- there are probably 10 other teams who are actually better than us in Singapore', or something to that effect. However, I can't complain, though, it's nice to have people saying I play well even though I objectively know that I only play about as well as the random dedicated pubber.
