If a new job requires you to drive 48 km (approximately 2hours traffic jam) everyday, will you accept it?

PS: The new job is offering you a good opportunity and a good package
Question One: No. However, after factoring in the good opportunities and a good "package", maybe. You need to weigh-in all considerations and option and to conclude with a decision. There's no point asking.

Sometimes, certain sacrifices need to be made for the future. You can try leaving earlier to avoid some jam or something. But do remember that travelling that much km daily means you need to service your car more regularly. And don't let the job ruin your family life too much. After all, you're working for them as well. What's work if it means no family?

Im considering to buy a house in Rimbayu about 45km from KLCC. I wonder whether I can withstand driving for an hour daily to work.

The morning travel is okay, only the return trip in the evening that is a concern.

Bangi to klcc, need to go out early when its Monday. Usually its almost 1 hour travelling from my home to office. If got accident ahead, do expect delay like siput sedut.

and one more thing to add, I just love it when its school holiday. Cruising like a boss. I'm sure you all agree on that. Haha

Well that truly depends, if you're talking about a good package and prospects for your career, why not? It really depends how ambitious you are and where you want to go in life. If you really feel this is something you can overcome, then by all means - do it.

Travelling is only part of the work, but eventually you'll get used to it. It's all about setting a goal and overcoming it. So I dare you to challenge yourself and overcome this. I'm sure along the way you'll find other ways to ease your burden - carpooling / finding better and faster road alternatives. Most importantly, you'll also get a chance to manage your time better and be more disciplined.

Btw, I work for an airline company, travelling to Sepang everyday from PJ, approx 120km to return, spending approx RM10 a day just on tolls. So yea, it ain't that bad smile.gif

If I were you I'd move out. Travel back to your family once a week or twice a month or whenever necessary.

45 minutes travel from Nilai to Subang. 66km. But not everyday. Mostly 15 days per month. No problem.
