Hi, do anyone of you having lag spikes recently in the game? I am using Unifi 5Mbps line and the lag is unbearable from 8:30pm to 1:00am.
I did try to play in the morning at 5am and I don't have any lag issue. Something to do with Unifi?

it's not only affect D3, basically all download and streaming are affected especially night time.

I hope it's just a temp maintenance ...

run a rift just now , seems like it's quite bad timing to play now tho

im having the same prob since a few days ago until now and i think its getting more worse.. when i tried login to wow it looked fine.. and i did a speedtest to US server also give good result, my download also ok.. only diablo has this kind of prob.. i checked other d3 gamers from twitch if its coming from blizzard side and doesnt seems to have any prob to them

same here. i had to vpn to singapore, connection from there is fine

Rough observation shows that the connection returns to normal around 12am (from approx 8pm).
@abcstop, VPN to Singapore helps? Logging in via VPN most of the time returns the error 3005~3007...

it is really a release knowing so many people has the same problem like me...

Anyway~~only Diablo 3 seems like lag like hell...

other games like DotA2 seems to be very smooth~~i do not think it is Unifi issue~~
maybe Blizzard server got problem~~

i do some check up and a hell lot of blizzard players complain about the same problem playing the new game~~

It is totally unplayable for me from around 9pm onwards until around 1am.

I am having the same issue. Unifi 10mbps here.
The issue started a week ago, 8pm to 12am unplayable.
Wtf is going on.

I did a speedtest and went through some downloads, are all working perfectly, its only happen in diablo 3, the lantency shoot up to 2k.

cannot even start a game.

any is lagging right now? wtf is happening..red ping all the way

According to Pingplotter, I can see that one of the route is having packet loss issue during this time, and this has been going on for a few weeks.

Try this in command prompt:

ping -n 1000 80.239.193.214


Apparently that ip belongs to telia.net according to DNSName shown in pingplotter.

Don't know whether complain to TM will help. In the past telia.net has very good route without packet loss. I don't know what happened to their end. Telia.net is supposed to be in USA.

See how the spike goes up once it reaches telia.net


Compare to a screenshot I captured at beginning of 2014, this is how telia.net used to look like:



No packet loss at all in the past.

mine using streamyx, and yes, everynight sure spike lag

I'm facing the same issue, using unifi n start lagging after 9pm every night.
Then I changed to use hotlink data plan, no lagging at all, very smooth. So I believe it's not d3 server problem.

Asian server is running at nice ping at same time though

The lag occurs in USA internet backbone. It happened once in beginning of 2014 too when TM re-route our USA traffic to London. Took a complain to get them to re-route back to USA west coast backbone. But this time the lag occurs at west coast so not sure what can be done...

luckily i just restarted playing after qutting during the rmah period last time so i simply migrated to Asian server for a fresh start. really wanted to play NA server but its too lag man

mine happen around 10-11pm

use proxy tunneling, it should improve your gaming experience drastically. you may want to try WTFast, choose server either MYR4,MYR5,SG7, or sort by lowest ping.

without it i get 2000ms when in game, but after using it I get stable 150-250ms.

Is WTFast free or is it a paid subscription?

1 thing u guys can do is switch to AU server which seem to be alright

Just got it and they have a free user one as well as paid subscription, but it seems to disconnect me from games sometimes.

been lagging whole day today..

I use SG7 server. Pretty stable, mostly green 150-250ms. Though, sometimes the app doesn't recognize my client, aka DiabloIII.exe if its already running before I initiate the connection.
So sometimes I had to exit the game first then relaunch it to have WTFast connected.

lol even sat noon is funny to play; ALL MOBS CAN NOW TELEPORT

was using wtfast for a while but now seems like the lag problem is no more even without wtfast at least for me
