Hi.

It is very annoying for the members of the moderating team to simply add or remove poll choices in our polls. For example,

Seriously? Credit Card was not in my original poll! I started a poll hoping to ask for sincere answers (yes, I have expected to get trolled and such, but this is just waaaaaay too much!) and there came a smart ass from the moderating team spoiling my poll.

Being a moderator/staff/admin does not mean that they can mess around with other forummer's thread.

Thank you.

Expect to be trolled if you post in /k even from the mod team. If you want no trolling, you can create it in serious /k or even Brides & Grooms sub-forum

Wow, okay.
So if TS were to report (or if I consider this thread as a report), will action be taken against the moderator?
How do we even know who did it?

By being a moderator doesn't give one the right to abuse power.
Yes, there are times where editing poll results may be funny - but in cases like this where TS asks quite a serious question, at least don't troll lah doh.gif

Yes, this is exactly what I mean! That particular member of the moderating team is basically abusing his/her power.

Let me highlight an example: our 13th General Elections. By being the governing party, does that give BN the right to "create" a sudden blackout and rig the polling results, just because that they are not satisfied with the outcome??? Same goes to my case: by being a moderator, does this give him/her special rights to mess with forummers' polls?

If you answer "yes" to the above questions, well, with all due respect to you and our country, you guys are heading straight to doomsday.

Serious question in /k? You joking? We have serious /k for that. So what makes you think that his question is quite serious and Everest's and other forumer's questions are not? Do we need to judge whether the question in /k is serious or not before we troll?

Your statement of "quite serious question" and posting in /k contradicts everything.

Same answer, /k = expect to be trolled, serious /k and other sub-forums no one will troll you and even better, those who troll will get warned or banned.

If I agree to your point then we might as well close /k and ban trolling for the whole LYN forum.

My personal take for the whole shenanigans is...It could be tarvalslain87 just want to have fun like everyone in /k/opitiam too (by adding "Credit Card" as an additional option in the poll). Looks like a little fun had back-fired but then again, it's /k/opitiam. As much as respect goes, it's a two-way street. If you are dead serious about the poll being tampered or whatnot, you can just request the poll to be "reinstated" as it were, just before the fun was being added in. laugh.gif

Double standards? What about mods warning or banning members in K across the board for trolling in /K only? What happens in K doesnt stay in K is it?

I dont see the rationale, its ridiculous.

They are the moderators here thus they can do anything they deem fit to maintain law and order in the forum. In other words, they are like our very own PDRM lahh, always efficient and hardworking when it comes to carrying out their duties.
