I face this problem frequently too which i found too annoying for me, especially the time you wan the coverage to be strong eg following navigator app, online transaction etc... But I nvr face this before when Im on a slightly more expensive plan.. wondering what is going on actually and looks like not only me alone having this trouble ...

i would consider as below

i would pick celcom if

1) i always have unused quota every month
2) with additional RM120 per year, i can have my unused quota carry forward

I would pick umobile if

1) my quota always finish every month
2) save RM120 per year, since i would never have unused quota

if u always in KL, Klang Valley, then Umobile is best for value.
but if u have to outstation somewhere, then be afraid that ur phone will have 2G line for most.

the unused data for umobile now can bring forward. i read it yesterday but not sure capped to how much.

Since my phone is LTE compatible, its a waste if my umobile U28 still not support 4G

I changed from an older Celcom P48 plan to Celcom First Basic 85

That basically means that I'm getting:
2GB Data (Extra 3GB once OPTIMISER kicks in)
100 Minutes FREE (Extra 600 minutes once OPTIMISER kicks in)

Say I'm more of a heavy voice user, so I will be getting a total of 700 minutes of free calls to any networks (once OPTIMISER kicks in). And If I need more data, I will just get the MAXUP 5GB for RM50.

Adding all, I would have:

7GB Data (2GB + 5GB 'MaxUp' Data)
700 minutes FREE calls and SMS for all network

All in for RM85 + RM50 per month

I using iphong 4, only 3g speed

currently using maxsh8t hotlink

I made probably 1 or 2 calls a day (mostly use office or home phone) and internet usage per month is about 1gb
That means 1 month I've to spend RM10 for calls and RM30 for internet.
Both Celcom and Hotlink my place OK coverage.

What you recommend

thx

i noticed only carry forward talk time for p50 and p70..and umobile does have 4G it seems...they have that activate 4G..but for P50 and P70 also...crap!
