It has been 1 month since Celcom launch basic 38 plan & until now Maxis & Digi still haven't offered anything new to counter this plan.

What are they waiting for?

They're loosing both ways actually.
It starts with losing lots of customers, when that happens, profit shrunk too.

I have just MNP'ed from Hotlink to Celcom Basic 38.
I'm not the type who makes lots of calls, so data is more important to me.
50 minutes free talk time is more than enough. It's free to all network pulak tu.

Aku register awal², takut promosi tutup nanti, melepas.
Malas dah nak tunggu Maxis / Digi turunkan harga. Lembab sangat.

Just call their helpline - 1111. Free if your call from your Celcom mobile phone.
I did that & it took me less than 5 minutes to cancel voicemail.

If this is real:

Stupid Maxis still tido.

Time to port to Digi then.
But only after the RM36 plan is really available both in their centers & their website.

While we're waiting, hopefully there's some comeback from Maxis.

Nevermind, it looks like Lowyat.net got the information wrong.
There is no 12 month contract for the new plan.

There is no contract.
Digi just state in it's T&C that the price will go back to RM50 after 12 month.
It's 1 year later. By that time, Digi itself may offer something better to make their customers stay.

And it's not like Digi is forcing you to stay with them after the promotion period is over.

U Mobile already upgraded their Postpaid Plans.
RM28 for 3GB data, 50 minutes free talktime to all network, 200 SMS to all network & 100 SMS to U Mobile users.

I'm going to buy a U Mobile prepaid sim afterward to test their network at my home & office.

Maxis however, is still sleeping.

I'm not using U Mobile.
Currently using Celcom First Basic 38.
Going to buy U Mobile prepaid sim card at lunch hour to test their coverage & speed.

If their coverage & speed is better or at the same level with Celcom, I will MNP to U Mobile at the end of the month.

Yeah, quite useful as I'm going to work in Singapore at the end of this year.
Commuting between JB & Singapore won't be an issue anymore.

Maxis will dai soon.

Remember that the RM48 plan with free phone comes with 2 year contract.
The RM38 plan doesn't have a contract.

To some people, the RM46 plan may seem expensive, but to someone like me who make calls more than 50 minutes every month, it's totally worth it.

I really need that extra 150 minutes.
