My sister moved from umobile u50 to celcom 38. ported in 2 days.

Is there a speed cap I'm reading here? Did not notice any difference in the speed of facebook, normal browsing or whatapp...

Every new registration, MNP, or change of existing plan requires the customer to pay an advance 1 month payment total of RM40.30 at the counter.

FYI, for existing celcom customers, I suggest to go straight to celcom centres as those resellers/bluecube don't accept plan changes (because they make profit from new registration and MNP).

Oh yeah, if u have balance data whether prepaid or postpaid, do tell them to transfer into the new basic38 plan (if possible).

Really? I did not pay anything thing. Just fill in a form and go... 2 hours later changed from umobile to celcom38

After 3 days using I can comment that the data is hopeless in usj, subang jaya and some parts of puchong. Most of the time on 3G. Some of the time H+ . The only time get 4G is when there under open sky.

Worse still. even on 3G, the ping is about 600ms.

lucky I got 2 lines smile.gif

Problem is it is on 3g at all places and only auto switching to H+ some of the time.
other small player like u on h+ all the time and switching to 4g some of the time. My green line same like u

Agree with you. Once I put idle, i will see 3G but when data transfer, it will changed to H+ or 4G! smile.gif
*
Yes I notice that too. But causes problems when swapping apps. For example my fb hangs a while And have to close and open to fix it.

Anyone already used this plan? How is the speed and call quality?

Yes. When indoors data slow like snail compare to umobile I had previously. Outdoor very good. So stay outdoor lo... or use wifi when indoor. lol...

It has been 1 month since Celcom launch basic 38 plan & until now Maxis & Digi still haven't offered anything new to counter this plan.

What are they waiting for? hmm.gif
*
They may be selecting customers.
Can either work on the model of less customer but more value or more customers less value. Perhaps a model of corporate customers vs retail where the former is big value but the later is small value.

Another good example is local banks vs foreign banks or german cars vs malaysian cars

Its good because it gives consumers choice.

mine even worst...4g will suddenly change to 2g...then only change back to 3g...

mine also like that. 4g to 3g then suddenly to H+ then back to 3G then to E, especially indoors.

complain also no use

It is better to buy a Xpax prepaid sim and buy data. That is the better way to test it. If you ask people, maybe the coverage and data performance is not the same.
*
I have xpax for a long time. it is only 2G. the 2G coverage is very good but can't test 3G or 4G

then definitely your phone problem... bring your phone to CUBE/Celcom centre.. immediately fix.. and find out
*
Don't think it is phone. My wife, sister and myself MNP to celcom the same time. All have same problem. Previously, no problem.

However, I suppose there is no harm complaining to blue cube...

By the way, 4G speeds are freaking slow. Enter building will fetch E/3G, and at times no signal.
*
Same complain as I have. Inside building get 3g. This happen only now or all the time celcom like this?
