i am using the yellowman network
for one whole month, i only used up 200mb
for whatsapp, facebook, messenger, browse internet
no download or stream youtube video...
it doesnt sucks much data but is wasted cannot carry forward.. i got 3gb data monthly

one question
4g, 3g or wifi will consume more battery consumption?
i heard 4g will consume more but is that true?

4g will use more battery when u r in weaker signal area becoz yr phone always try to search for lte coverage. battery consumed when phone always changed between 3g-H-Lte

#my2cent To certain extent now that I believed Digi has the best data plans in terms of affordability and stability. The bad thing about Digi is that it has lesser coverage compared to Maxis and Celcom, and of course, cannot carry forward any unutilized data.

The problem with Maxis now is known with its rate plans that focusing on voice and 'neglecting' on data, and it is ain't cheap. This is the main reason why I ported from Maxis to Celcom.

On the other hand, Celcom has its weakness too. Albeit having the greatest (voice) coverage among all other telcos, its data network consistency and coverage seems to be falling behind Digi and Maxis. Well, I ported into Celcom because of CHEAP, the generosity of 3gb with the price and the ability to carry forward. biggrin.gif

i have ported from hotlink and activated my new sim moment ago. found that the H+ speed is relatively disappointing. It was around 2 Mbps at damansara perdana area. The hotlink package easily give me 7-8 Mbps. I was a celcom user before and i recall their speed is not this bad. what's wrong with their services?

By the way, how to activate the wifi services? Do i need to register anything?

Digi is very well-known with its weak indoor coverage, and it is due to the higher bandwidth spectrum that Digi has. In your case, I suggested you lodge a complaint to Digi since you used to have better indoor coverage.

Nevertheless, I am getting frustated with Celcom by not being able to FB and Instagram. It works perfectly with WiFi, so i can rule out the possibility of APP problem. I have restarted my phone, but it does not help. Surfing website using Celcom is perfectly OK, so I really suspect the HIGH traffic to popular website/app is a problem with Celcom now.

Does anyone here experience the same issue?

I am maxis one plan user here. Thinking of switching to this plan since all mys friends and gf wish to use whatsapp to chat next time. How to change from maxis to celcom? I mean I need to inform maxis to terminate then only I change? Coz I have to pay penalty for early termination of contract. How's the coverage in wangsa maju area? Heard the plan doesn't sea so good.

hope their speed slow nowadays is because of large amount of people jump ship to celcom, and hopefully will stable down in the following months. so annoying that i cant even load facebook properly. previously when using digi, i use it day and night without problem. infact i never see 3g icon appear during my time with digi. its either edge when bad or h+ all the way.

It is better to buy a Xpax prepaid sim and buy data. That is the better way to test it. If you ask people, maybe the coverage and data performance is not the same.

Digi edge line is usable and quite ok for Whatsapp. But now at Batu Pahat always problem browsing usually at night. Some website cannot browse and FB always half load. Previously it performs well. Celcom performance way better. I even once get 60 MBPS speed at my uni which so fast updating Play Store apps. The coverage it depends on where you are. That is why it is better to buy a Xpax sim and try kaw-kaw before porting. Now sudah port menyesal. biggrin.gif

I see some improvement. At Seksyen 26 Shah Alam, previously get 3G or H+ but now 4G all the way! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I think the network got congested and they are fixing it by phase!
