Sony just announced the DCS-WX500, HX90 & HX90V compact travel zoom.

Body is small like RX100 series, but with smaller 2/3" sensor. They also have a rubberized grip for better handling.

Both got 30x zoom and selfie-tilt 3.0" screen, and the HX90 has extendable EVF like the RX100 M3 (but lower res).

My question is any ideas if the cameras will be any good? Also, when do you guys think it will be available in Malaysia? Panasonic TZ70/ZS50 also not yet arrived. This one dunno when will come here.

but if want long zoom i guess wait and see if got 30% price drop in wx350 or hx60 from sony malaysia.

panasonic here is quite pathetic.
the tz60 also took a long time before appearing here, and even then not much marketing and hard to find also...now a little easier but new model already coming...zzz.
i doubt u'll see it here until sometime near end of year.

anyway, the sony ones are pretty ok.
just that i recall wx350 / hx60 using playmemories mobile app couldnt do selective touch focus on the phone...unlike the qx series.
maybe new firmware has fixed it.
