my baby is going to pop anytime soon and we been doing the check up at Colombia Asia Cheras since day one.

one of her office colleague just delivered at the same hospital last week and the total amount is RM5k ++ without epidural.

now the main problem is, to take or not to take epidural for my wife.

yup! she's one of a hell easy going laid back doctor. we like dealing with her and from my wife's colleague experience she is very gentle even during the labour. she even crack some jokes during labouring.

oh on a side note the 5k is not without but it is with epidural. included IINM.

same here bro. but EDD expected to be 12th July but we hope it will be earlier. later the doctor will be on leave for Raya & we have to opt for male doctors.

Hi Jbanya,
Good sharing.
I'm giving birth in June too here is quote from Pantai Hospital, Cheras.

Package price (for normal vaginal birth) which include mother delivery and baby paediatric fee for 3D2N stay :
4-bedded RM2480
2-bedded RM2680
*exclusive of service charge and GST.

Other add-on :
Epidural RM1500
Water birth RM2000

C-Sect start from RM7000 onwards

Suite RM260/night
Single room RM233/night
2-bed room RM133/night
4-bed room RM80/night

I didn't know KPJ charges are that reasonable. I didn't like Pantai Cheras, to be honest but I really like my O&G(Dr Tan Ee Ping) and she only deliver in that hospital hence I follow her where she goes.
Pantai Cheras is old and in-appealing if you compare to Pantai Bangsar and KL so for these price is kind of over-priced.

And sharing prices in such forum is upholding spirit of 'sharing is caring.'
I don't know why some ppl are against this unless you're medical business and these sharing is upping your competitors advantage.

The price given here is my total bill for 2D1N. Readmission for baby is for 1.5 days. Not sure if the price for consultation, surgery, etc would be the same all doctors. However, i believe the treatment supplies, room charges, diapers, etc are the same price.

Dr Chuah is good. Not sure about Dr Ng. There is another 2 gynae in Tung Shin also. Please check with the hospital for more details.

price for my wife and baby is around the same as agape, delivered under dr chuah. He's a good and experience dr but the only bad thing is that there's always a long queue to visit him (not recommend to go on saturday in which the queue is worst) . better go in the weekday morning, register, go home and come again in the afternoon.

lupa to update on the total cost of delivering our first baby. she is 4 months now! smile.gif

we stayed there for 3D2N and my wife had to be csec since she has some complication during labour. 24 hours only 4cm opening and she cannot stand the contraction anymore and the baby is due for 3 days.

total cost was RM8k ++ including labor + room (twin sharing) + bius + nursery etc.

and a week after that my baby had been admitted due to jaundice. another night in the hospital cost us RM1300 ++ but single room this time

oh n btw its in Colombia Asia Cheras. highly recommended for Dr. Shida.
