QUOTE(edtai @ Apr 26 2015, 09:51 AM) Wait for Note5.. I don't agree with your opinion.. Most issues on Note 4 are on the software, which can be fix by installing updates, if Samsung work on it.. You said Note 4 is a struggling product to compete with iPhone 6+,while to me iPhone 6 is no better than Note 4. Note 4 is definitely much better than Note 3,so it feels like a finished product, not experimentalNote 4 is just a struggling product as to compete with iphone6+ when both launched in 4th Q last year. Note 4 was launched in rush so even the Lollipop is not ready for the hardware until the entire Note4 supportors have been waiting for more than 5 months until upgrade. Nothing special for the normal Note 4 if compare with Note3. The X-hole Samsung launch Note Edge too late in Malaysia otherwise i difinately will grab it with no doubt. I played it at Samsung shop last week and love it so much with the Edge design and functionality. |

QUOTE(edtai @ Apr 26 2015, 11:37 AM) The forum is open for discussion is up to you to agree or disagree with other other's comments. We are Note4 owners sure we all know that Note4 is better than iphone6+. But when come to business wise, popularity and BRAND as what China people say STATUS and IMAGE, Apple win hand down regardless of how good the Samsung / Note4 phone is. Another good example is iwatch which is launched recently. One day sale figure equals to few months sales figures of Samsung watch which has more advance feature. Because, u said Note 4 is a struggling product to compete with iPhone 6.. So you agree Note 4 is better... So?.. Your solution is apparently clear, go and get iPhone, case close and no need for you to whine about Note 4. Back to the sofeware issue of Note4. It is boring and nothing for me being a ex-Note3 user although it will keep updated from time to time. But being a high end consumer, Note Edge only would open my eyes. In additional, Samsung will have another issue with its software update as so many different update packages have to be done and ready for different countries and telco..As what i say, it could need huge IT resources and supports to do so. I am not really sure how Samsung handle it but feeling that so many updates packages for one model for different countries sounds not making sense and good approaches. |

QUOTE(edtai @ Apr 26 2015, 03:43 PM) No worries.. i am happy that he is hardcord supportor of Note4. So I am. Long long time ago I also used to "fight" with a real throller in this thread. My support to Samsung Note series (not from Mi) is still no change due to the stylus pen, multi-window and so on. Thanks but NO, I'm not a hard core supporter for Note 4. LOL.. it seems that you are not that frequent here, maybe.. My comments are just plain straight forward.. I had my time of whining about Samsung products, plenty. My major point here is I disagree when u said Note 4 is a struggling product to compete with iPhone 6. It just doesn't make sense when u said it's a struggling product, beside a product that u later said inferior than Note 4. After so many years, I finally concluded that I never found any gadget/devices without any issue, or having shortcomings to satisfies my demands. I believe it is fair to say, wait for Note 5 and you'll get a better/improved product, but not that Note 4 is a bad product.. I'd like to remind that you can't simply compare it with iPhone.. What consumer wants on iPhone can be largely differ from what consumer wants on Note 4..on iPhone, the hardware itself maybe at an inferior state at most of the aspect. Be it the processor, battery, screen resolution etc. What apple really selling is the software, and the apple locked environment.. Hence the term sheep has been used for quite some time..My latest few posts are highlighting the business aspect of the Samsung and Apple. In fact if no Note series or hardcore supportors like un_id and others here, I believe Samsung could be in very deep trouble in business. Why? imagine S5 was not doing well since it launched early last year and expereienced drastic drop of profit in 2nd & 3rd quarter 2014, do you think Samsung have any chance to delay Note4 if they dont launch Note4 at the same time when iphone 6+ launched? Although the launch of Note4 w/o Lollipop. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 26 2015, 09:15 PM) Sadly the HuaWei brand is always grossly under rated by many. It could be it is China branded and fully made in China with its own in house chip. Users always look down on its chipset vs SnapDragon, Intel etc. I always say to doubtful users , just buy one and you will not regret vs the more expensive Sony, HTC, Samsung or even LG Agree.. Huawei products actually very good.. I love their mediapad X1.. Mate 7 is awesome.. If not because of S pen, I would definitely choose Mate 7 over Note 4The only major issue with HW phones is its slower firmware updates and lack of custom roms. But than again its firmware is already very stable, and bug/problem free and even subsequent update I hardly notice any significant differences. I update it just for the sake of updating to have the latest only. Very highly recommended brand for the common user not interested in firmware/roms/kernels stuff |

QUOTE(joytest @ Apr 30 2015, 02:23 PM) Tar is one of the byproducts of petroleum refining (IIRC). why they put tar in cigarette? i don't get it It is black and sticky and you can see huge barrels of this steaming when they pave roads. It is what makes roads black in color. It is also present in cigarette smoke, causing the black residue in a smoker's lungs. |

QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 4 2015, 01:18 PM) Is this still considered slow for you? But for me, 3g speed is good enough. got 4g is a bonus.. i need more stable connection and coverage, rather than baseband width increment. I'll be more happy if digi make sure their 3g coverage is full bar everywhere eventhough there is no 4g.. |

QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 4 2015, 05:50 PM) clearly u did not see my screenshot lol Lol.. where are you located? Such a bad signal receptionmy dad's celcom was abt 3.56mbps. but again, its only 3g because of phone limitation my digi, also on 3g only gave abt 1.x mbps. i turned off 4g because of its poor coverage which most likely, lead to my dropped calls etc. |

i feel the s-pen a bit loose when sitting in its port.. it think when i just got this out of box, i was damn tight and sit firmly in the port..... (or maybe its just my feeling).. just worried that later after prolonged usage, the s-pen will be totally loose and fall out from the port

QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 5 2015, 07:32 PM) If i don't need s-pen, i would go for Huawei Mate 7. Or iphone 6+ instead. S6? For Android, the price is quite hefty, hence i would prefer Mate 7. especially S6E, curve screen, so whats more? So i rather jump to a more stable iOS environment. Or Nexus 6 at least for future proof software support |

QUOTE(evoangel @ May 6 2015, 05:15 PM) So far the only problem i had with Note4 after lollipop update was crazy battery drain. I hope they get this to fix it fast. =( mine battery improve after factory reset.. now 2.5h SOT with 53% juice left, at this rate i can easily achieve at least 4h SOT, which is fair enough for me (last time hardly reach 3H SOT).. so to do factory reset after upgraded to L is recommended.. |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ May 6 2015, 09:48 PM) I am looking forward for the Bugs on Waze to be solved. wah the back cover color can become faded is it? not a good news, i also using mine naked most of times. I don`t have any battery issue. Can get 4 to 5 hour SOT easily with 24 hour LTE on. I hope Samsung unleashed the 64 bit system on Note 4 and bring Enhance Manual mode camera + RAW system. Anyone here knows where to buy the back batter cover Gold colour. My one when i use the phone without case the gold colour faded and now looks abit not nice. anyway, i wonder if there is any leather-type replacement back cover available for Note 4? i would want to have that |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ May 8 2015, 09:09 AM) un_id oh my.. This is the picture of my Note 4 back battery cover. I circle the fade part with RED Round. After i found out that my back cover faded off i fast fast buy a Spigen Ultra Hybrid Crystal Clear Case to protect it to prevent more fade effects. Previously i am using my phone nakedly without any cases on. I also ask the Samsung Mid Valley Gardens the back battery cover they said that it cost RM 106. My phone never drop before and no dent no scratch and i also cant believe that actually the colour would fade off like that. thanks for sharing.. since you said this, i've put the thin casing on.. |
