Hi guys,
Gonna ask for your opinion. Should I buy a Note 4 now instead of waiting for Note 5? Well, it has been 6/7 months since Note 4 launched and another 5/6 months to get the Note 5. These are my issues:-
1. Note 4 is RM2699. Note 5 may be RM3099 or 3199. 2. Note 5 will come with latest lollipop 3. Note 5 will have wireless charging 4. Note 5 will have newer less bloated Touchwiz 5. If I dont use note 4 Touchwiz and use for eg. Nova Launcher or Google Launcher will it affect S-Pen usage?
Non removable battery and no SD Card is not a deal breaker for me as my last 3 phones are without SD Card / removable battery. But that is because I don't store much in my phones for eg. movies tc. However, with Note 4/Note 5 at 5.7 inch and super AMOLED, should I be storing and using it as a video player?
By the way, I am using a Oneplus One since January 2015 only (only 3 - 4 months). Still new. Or maybe do a trade in?

Hi guys,
wondering if anyone can enlighten me on this. What difference if i used the following note 4 models in Malaysia? N910C (i think exynos octacore) vs N910G (i think snapdragon quadcore)? Thanks.

Ok, so i took the dive and bought the Note 4 last week. Black color. First time using a Samsung. Love the Screen Size, S Pen, Multi Window and the AMOLED Display. Using a minimalist thin back cover, Nillkin Frosted Shield Case. Took out the Tempered Glass Protector sold by the phone Vendor cause it has the halo effect which is a no-no to me. Do not like the TouchWiz Homescreen at all. So i installed Nova Launcher which is great now. Except that one big dissappointment ie. Using Nova Launcher does not allow me to pin an open Action Memo on homescreen. That's a good S Pen function down the drain. Overall, it is a great phone and has taken over my Oneplus One as my daily driver. I bet the Note 5 will be even better but will cost an arm and a leg.
Edit: Bettery last me from wakeup at 7am to bedtime 10pm with about 20% to spare. Considered not bad but cannot use it for 2 days without charging. My 1+1 can use for 2 days.

Can anyone give some advice? Recently used my N4 camera to take a pic in a dimly lit restaurant. HDR ON - Auto Mode - Flash on - Picture Size 16M. Picture came out is dark and blurry. Then a friend used his iPhone 6 to take the same scene and it came out perfect. As I write this, I tested again by taking a picture in my dimly lit roon. Same result. What did I do wrong? I thought the N4 camera is a beast?

QUOTE(kopykopy @ May 12 2015, 05:44 PM) OK guys. Both shots are done in my dimly lit room on a late afternoon. Both Shots = HDR ON - Auto Mode On. Mickey Mouse is Flash OFF. Teddy Bear is Flash ON. Looks like teddy bear shot with flash ON is of poorer quality. So what good is the flash in a dimly lit situation??? what do you think of both picture quality?? I am no camera person but i think both shots do not do the N4 camera justice. OK so now that i have uploaded both pics and view them in my PC, the pic quality is much better than viewing it on my N4. WTF????

QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 12 2015, 06:14 PM) Both looks fine. U using matte screen protector? If yes than thats the cause. I think i know why viewing pix in my N4 gives dim picture quality. Its because i have my auto brightness on. Once i switch auto brightness off, the pix looks fine. Whew, i thought i had a lemon device.

Once i switch auto brightness off, the pix looks fine. Whew, i thought i had a lemon device. OK, so even with auto brightness off, i am not too satisfied with my screen viewing experience. I compared my N4 with 2 other units owed by friends and sure enough their units were perfectly white and clear and bright. mine compared to theirs shows the whites as yellowish/off-white colour. The below pic is what I found on the internet comparing 2 phones, one with yellow/off white and the other is perfectly white (I have the same situation). I went back to the Vendor (my phone is 3 weeks old) and was told they could not exchange with another unit but they can only take it back to samsung to replace the screen for me. Estimated to take 3 days to do it. So I got a lemon after all Attached thumbnail(s)

So I haven't gone shopping for phone cases for a while (as I have been buying my last few ones online), the other day i decided to check out the IT section at Sunway Pyramid. To my surprise cases for Note 4 in every shop are so limited ie. not even half a row vs cases for iPhone 6 / 6+ can go up to 20 to 30 rows. I asked one shop what is reason and the sales person told me at his shop, samsung phones selling very slowly but iPhone 6 / 6+ selling like hot cakes.
Well anyway i couldn't find what I wanted for my Note 4. Just asking you guys for comments if you have used the following cases for your Note 4: (1) Spigen Capsule (2) Verus Hard Drop Ex-Thor ??

QUOTE(OwlsHeart @ Jun 4 2015, 02:43 PM) you are right, very few that sell cases for note 4. Got also are mostly the cheap plastic ones back case type.Everywhere also iphone cases. But on the bright side, the less accessories you discover for your phone, the more money you save I have the verus thor case for note 4 sitting in a box with the rest of my older cases including the expensive original LED flip case which i only used for 2 days sigh.. The verus thor is solid case however after sometime, you may find it dull due to the thickness. But its definitely a good case for protection and look. Haha... don't we all have a box full of phone covers. The money spent on cases can be used to buy a phone.
