Refer here to disable heads up notification,  not sure if have to root or not, but I am assuming since u downgrade, u r rooted, so u might want to try it.

Hi guys,

Gonna ask for your opinion.  Should I buy a Note 4 now instead of waiting for Note 5?  Well, it has been 6/7 months since Note 4 launched and another 5/6 months to get the Note 5.  These are my issues:-

1. Note 4 is RM2699.  Note 5 may be RM3099 or 3199.
2. Note 5 will come with latest lollipop
3. Note 5 will have wireless charging
4. Note 5 will have newer less bloated Touchwiz
5. If I dont use note 4 Touchwiz and use for eg. Nova Launcher or Google Launcher will it affect S-Pen usage?

Non removable battery and no SD Card is not a deal breaker for me as my last 3 phones are without SD Card / removable battery.  But that is because I don't store much in my phones for eg. movies tc.  However, with Note 4/Note 5 at 5.7 inch and super AMOLED, should I be storing and using it as a video player?

By the way, I am using a Oneplus One since January 2015 only (only 3 - 4 months).  Still new. Or maybe do a trade in?

Wait for Note5..
Note 4 is just a struggling product as to compete with iphone6+ when both launched in 4th Q last year. Note 4 was launched in rush so even the Lollipop is not ready for the hardware until the entire Note4 supportors have been waiting for more than 5 months until upgrade. Nothing special for the normal Note 4 if compare with Note3. The X-hole Samsung launch Note Edge too late in Malaysia otherwise i difinately will grab it with no doubt. I played it at Samsung shop last week and love it so much with the Edge design and functionality.

I don't agree with your opinion.. Most issues on Note 4 are on  the software, which can be fix by installing updates, if Samsung work on it.. You said Note 4 is a struggling product to compete with iPhone 6+,while to me iPhone 6 is no better than Note 4. Note 4 is definitely much better than Note 3,so it feels like a finished product, not experimental

The forum is open for discussion is up to you to agree or disagree with other other's comments. We are Note4 owners sure we all know that Note4 is better than iphone6+. But when come to business wise, popularity and BRAND as what China people say STATUS and IMAGE, Apple win hand down regardless of how good the Samsung / Note4 phone is. Another good example is iwatch which is launched recently. One day sale figure equals to few months sales figures of Samsung watch which has more advance feature.

Back to the sofeware issue of Note4. It is boring and nothing for me being a ex-Note3 user although it will keep updated from time to time. But being a high end consumer, Note Edge only would open my eyes.

In additional, Samsung will have another issue with its software update as so many different update packages have to be done and ready for different countries and telco..As what i say, it could need huge IT resources and supports to do so. I am not really sure how Samsung handle it but feeling that so many updates packages for one model for different countries sounds not making sense and good approaches.

Guys

Anyone of you has successfully remove the bloatwares installed on Note 4? Does the removal smooth en your phone and increase battery life? I saw that there are many guides and apps which appears during google search. Can anyone of you guide me to the most relevant and effective guide on how to remove bloatwares on Note 4? I don't mind to root as the bloatwares really slow down my phone as I saw that some of the program such as quick connect, s health, ant++ and etc is always running in background.

I just disable all the bloatwares that i dont need. Nothing else. I dont trust those Greenify and whatever so anymore unless the phone is rooted. Also, disable or uncheck all the auto notification or auto sycn of apps except email apps only.

Because, u said Note 4 is a struggling product to compete with iPhone 6.. So you agree Note 4 is better... So?.. Your solution is apparently clear, go and get iPhone, case close and no need for you to whine about Note 4.  laugh.gif  I don't care about brand so much, I won't buy a LV belt that costs several thousands, when it serves the same function as a Levis leather belt that costs several hundred bucks.

Come on, go to read again my posts for when I had said that Note 4 is inferior to Iphone+. Dont throll and relax la young man.

I dont care brand as well but the Note4 is really no surprise to me at all except the metal frame. Dont tell me 16MP camera and QFHD are innovative. Note Edge is innovative and unique product indeed with curve screen and side notification bar.

He wasn't trolling. Don't forget that you're on the Note 4 thread so its absolutely normal for him to defend the note 4 againts ip6. Perhaps in a not very constructive debate but he's got a point there. Note 4 is definitely not a struggling product when its stand side by side with the ip6+. I could understand if you think ip6+ looks far better than the note 4 but you can't say that the note 4 is struggling besides it just based on the design. Camera on this is on beast mode as well as the display. Can't resist the solid S pen functionality as well. I'm not saying that the note 4 is far miles ahead than ip6+ since i never even touch it but the note 4 is one fine phablet for me. Yeah sure it has issues in loli, battery and stuff but which phone does not suffer from instability from an update to another? Things like that can be tweaked whether through rooting or other methods. It all comes down to the user's handling.

No worries.. i am happy that he is hardcord supportor of Note4. So I am. Long long time ago I also used to "fight" with a real throller in this thread. My support to Samsung Note series (not from Mi) is still no change due to the stylus pen, multi-window and so on.

My latest few posts are highlighting the business aspect of the Samsung and Apple. In fact if no Note series or hardcore supportors like un_id and others here, I believe Samsung could be in very deep trouble in business. Why? imagine S5 was not doing well since it launched early last year and expereienced drastic drop of profit in 2nd & 3rd quarter 2014, do you think Samsung have any chance to delay Note4 if they dont launch Note4 at the same time when iphone 6+ launched? Although the launch of Note4 w/o Lollipop.
