QUOTE(khainiz94 @ May 3 2015, 03:46 PM) If self accident no warranty. Have to pay for a new screen. If repair with Samsung the current warranty will resume. Mine still have 5 months left. Buy a thicker SP better. If fall at tar road like me, bye bye money. It seems to me that the screen on note 4 isn't as tough as they claimed to be. I know my Xperia Z(currently used by my mom) dropped many times from front on hard surfaces and so far only one corner side dented. The screen is still doing fine with just a normal screen protector on. |

do you guys set your wifi on all the time? i find that if i on my wifi on all time, battery drains alot especially overnight so now i set it to auto off when in sleep mode. Its quite annoying cause i won't be notified of my latest emails/msgs. Also I wish the power saving mode has option where you can exclude apps from sleeping like the stamina mode on Xperias.

QUOTE(benny888 @ May 4 2015, 07:46 PM) So far no Android phones I had used ( HTC, Samsung, LG, Huawei etc) can ever match Sony outstanding stamina mode. It is so well executed you don't need any further apps/or tweaks to get minimal battery brain. When I was using the Xperia z and present XZU, on stamina mode battery drain overnight with 3G on 24/7 drain hardly goes beyond 2% THIS EXACTLY YES.Reading this statement from a senior like you is golden and also confirmed that I was not biased towards sony phone when i really thought the stamina mode on Sony literally stands out among all others. It's really interesting that each brand has their signature strong point though I always switch off WiFi when I go to bed as my home WiFi is switched off. But I always has my 3G actively on 24/7 and I used apps/tweaks to reduce battery drain on standby mode Right now im using an app called Battery DU saver (paid version). It looks good so far hopefully the positive reviews weren't overhyped. |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ May 5 2015, 06:27 PM) How about iloome SP? Any reviews about it. Want to buy directly from its website. Have promotion right now. Perhaps this review video by Flossy would sum it up for you.Its of the Screenmate Tempered Glass Light version for Note 4. Just saw the Flex version ran out of stock at their website so that's all they have. Flossys review sound solid about it. Might get one too as a backup Edit : Aiya, type type but forgot to post link. QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 6 2015, 10:09 PM) I don't think its wise to use Note 4 naked or any smartphones in a long run especially with a removable back cover. Unless you're a very extra careful person but then accidents happen.. A slim case wouldn't hurt much |

QUOTE(cursebreaker @ May 7 2015, 01:47 PM) just realized something. i only get problem with waze when it is in protrait mode. when in landscape mode is ok I second this. Landscape mode do make things a lot better for viewing and if change back to portrait mode, it stays that way too. Just gotta switch to landscade mode whenever you see glitches on portrait mode and theyll be fixed. ![]() ![]() Portrait mode ![]() |

QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 12 2015, 04:45 PM) Lol it's ok. I get it a lot. My first real name is actually a boys name anyway. I find it funny though. Minions aren't barbies. Its perfectly fine for a male of any age to enjoy their wackyness and cuteness. Unless you have too much of an ego to show your sensitive side or you simply just dislike things like that. |

Yeah, i tried that mode but it failed cause of my distance i guess. I tried to focus on Dave and it didn't work out. I think it has to do with the object being that close with you to use it effectively. Nice shot btw, makes me hungry already. .» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

oooo i just rooted my note 4. Its really a simple process. Love the fact that i can greenify more apps now in the donation version however i don't feel safe greenifying all of them especially those service, security, knox thing. I tried to greenify weather but it kept telling me failed
Next im going to try this Leandroid together with greenify and observe how battery goes. It's claimed lighter than DS battery saver and received many great reviews it seems. |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ May 13 2015, 07:36 PM) just go ahead I like leandroid simple interface. its all in one page. No bullshts like the battery DU i was using before. Too fancy and heavy consumer. Leandroid lets you off data, bluetooth, gps and wifi when screen is off(timing option) also what time to restore them back. As for the efficiency, will tell again after a few days of use I already using leandroid + grenify since you are rooted time to install adaway (google it) remove all stupid advertisement *site note, I haven't root my note 4 almost 6 months already QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ May 13 2015, 08:12 PM) i'm more into scenery/vintage themed for wallpaper This post has been edited by OwlsHeart: May 13 2015, 09:29 PM |

QUOTE(S6 edge fans @ May 14 2015, 04:43 AM) QUOTE(benny888 @ May 14 2015, 08:01 AM) Go to XDA Note 4 Original Android development thread n look for Chain fire root file Exactly as simple as what the senior taught. It may seem complex to you probably because you are not familiar with the rooting tools. You need to download two things before go on the rooting process. Ok perhaps i put it this way for you to understand easily. Download Odin ( go Google for it) in your windows PC Off phone n go into download mode ( home+vol down+power button simultaneously ) n connect to PC. Launch Odin n select the extracted chain fire root file in tar format n just select as PDA. Leave everything else intact. Just press start n viola within 30 sec your phone rooted. Easiest n fastest method Another way is use Odin to flash Cwm recovery ( in tar format) . Than boot into CWM recovery ( volup+power +home button simultaneously ) n select supersu zip All these files easily found in XDA You can use these files on both kit kat n lollipop. [b]Example : Our phones power source comes from its battery. If the battery ran out of juice, what do we need? The charger. In this rooting situation, Odin is the charger so you need to download it first. You can download the latest version here http://odindownload.com/ I recommend going for the stable version and not the beta ones. I'm using the 3.10 version. After downloading the Zip file, unzip it and open the exe. Next step, now we have the charger, we need the charging cable. Not just any cable but the right cable especially if want to use the fast charging option. In this rooting case, the n910c file is the cable. That's the 2nd thing you need to download. Direct link here https://download.chainfire.eu/559/CF-Root/C...exx-smn910c.zip After you done downloading that,go back to odin.exe, click the button that says 'PDA/AP' and look for the file that you just downloaded. Click the one titled : CF-Auto-Root-trelte-treltexx-smn910c.tar.md5 (in the 2nd Zip file that you downloaded) Actually they already included the Odin for you in that zip file. It's version 3.07. That will work well also so you can choose to skip the step of downloading the Odin since the n910c zip file includes the charger(Odin) already. After you have the file appeared under the PDA/AP, switch off your note 4,press vol down+home button+power button at the same time and it will boot into download mode, proceed to continue then connect your note 4 to your pc, on the Odin, press start and it will begin the process. Wait for the success status. If nothing happens, try reconnect the phone. If success d,it will auto reboot and your phone is rooted! Well i hope my guide won't be too confusing for you |
