Home button shudnt b an issue. U can use the power button on the rightt too . Im using led cover so no concern on it for me. My old note 2 used 2 years plus no problem on hardware at all biggrin.gif so i guess note4 quality shud b the same.
*
I hope so too..

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 2 2015, 10:10 AM)
There is no triangle away stuff in all the newer note series. You can easily unroot using supersu pro app but Knox remain triggered. I had successfully claim warranty with knox triggered on ex Note3 n present S6 edge ( change motherboard)
Deep sleep ?? No idea as I don't have deep sleep issues. All my phones the app works well. Try yourself to assess n just uninstall of you don't like it
Can never understand why some users had deep sleep problems. All my androids I never faced such issues. I think is app related . I only install official app on all my phones.
*
Well, I sometimes face deepsleep on my n6.. making dt2w hardly working..

Just use Odin n flash chainfire CF root is easier n faster! Pointless to flash twrp unless you need it
*
If there's easier and faster.. and no need to loose all the data/app I've download.. then I will go for Odin & Chainfire CF root..

If I plan to flash custom Rom, I should go with TWRP right?

SPen will not work. It will probsbly function as stylus only. Only touchwiz based roms with Samsung framework can work. Infact all SPen functionality remains on all TW based roms
*
No point then to try CM12.1.. btw what kind of tweak did you currenly running or what TW rom?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 3 2015, 05:26 PM)
I don't have Note4 now
I helped my friend to setup his mainly to reduce batter drain on phone standby with 3g/lte on 24/7
He reported to me his drain usually around 1% n most was 2% over 7-8 hours on phone standby ( overnight)
App installed - xposed mod cum amplify, boot manager, greenify pro, ds battery saver. ES task manager to disable 60+ app from auto startup.
Custom rom - he is happy with Sweet Rom v13 n had tested several others too. Rom no best rom n you just need to assess which one suits you better
Similarly with me our usage quite similar n besides usual phone stuffs most of time on internet based stuffs - browsing, email, tweeter, facebook, whatsapp, newsfeed n no gaming. He is nearly 70 years old n despite his age follows phone tech well though his English is very broken. We meetup frequently for tea n discussed latest phone stuffs.
*
Usually I will begin with what people did on their device, and will move from there. All apps installed on Sweet Rom? I've rooted mine, and add Greenify and Adaway, still checking with Ampere, my battery drain quite massive, up to 1700mA.. need to manually clear apps then drop to 400mA.. I will go for TWRP for custom rom flashing..

Go read xda on the rom details n find out more what is added n what is left out
No need to wipe data during flashing. Wipe cache is enough. Only choose to wipe data if you faced strange issues. Use titanium backup to backup your app n its data first
*
Got read this morning, then come cross with CM12.1.. as far as I read, Sweet Rom is the most popular Rom among Note4 user (most read and reply)..

Faster Snappier but once it's awake - almost like a battery vampire.
Don't talk about standby time, because what's the point having this great device but seldom using it.
*
woohoo.. battery vampire.. I'll go for Sweet Rom then.. OE1 updates seems very huge 1.8gb.. sweat.gif

dear kamikraze.. i havent use the phone until today..due to the reason to avoid new data replacing the old data being accidentally formatted. is there anyone can help me locate reliable source shop to retrieve my old data inside samsung note4?
*
the best way is you call Samsung service centre ask them.. they know better about their hardware..

QUOTE(surefire v LED @ Jun 8 2015, 07:31 PM)
Yeah thanks - now just finished TB as per this info
After this I'm set to do nandroid backup.
*
Gogo.. the rom is smoother than stock rom.. really satisfy with the rom.. but at first I forgot to clear Dalvic & Cache.. so became bit lag.. after clear both Dalvic Cache.. smoothness all the way..

CM always bug unless there is CM11 rom.
As of now SR is good to go without sacrificing the actual rom features.

Agreed, no point using Note series without Note functions.
