I'm frowning on it right now. Some people find it hard to let go of this kind of "cultural wisdom" as its kind of a part of their heritage, but the sooner you do face reality and stop believing in vague concepts of energy which can neither be scientifically described or measured in any way, the better. I mean what is Qi? If it's energy then prove it. What do we mean in science when we say energy? it's heat, it's measured in joules, heat perfoms work, energy can only be converted, it cannot be created or destroyed. What do Qi practitioners mean when they say "energy"? Read above, very very vague stuff. Emotions are a ball of energy? oK, lets measure that. Lets take that ball of emotion and see how much it can raise the temperature of 1g of water, because that's how we deal with things that ACTUALLY EXIST.

Obviously the idea of Qi has been around forever, but these guys need new marketing ideas, so they just throw Qi at some first world problem like "low energy levels" or back pain, or some other "symptom of life" and write some total nonsense word soup (see opening post) like "Intense emotional events causing health problems"....
.... actually this is exactly what El-Ron Hubbard came up with in his dianetics book which is the foundation of scientology, another form of anti-scientific quackery. We just change a few things here, and there, rename "Thetans" to "blocked Qi", and hey presto. An entirely new way to solve all of life's problems with the added bonus of being repackaged TRENDY EASTERN MYSTICISM.
