I have several hesitation in choosing these camera. I usually do a lot of landscape photography, B & W portrait and street photography. Other than that is outdoor event, relatives wedding(sometime) and animal(rarely). Back to question here, I have rm10k in my hand, which one will be prefer based on my budget on spending it alone?
D800 don't have any major changes except the megapixel and 51 AF point, but the price is a kill and I still find it hard to choose which one is better for long term uses here.

Personally done many research, the result is more like 50-50 for me. Here the things will go with my 10k, I listed down two for specified camera & lens etc.

D800
Nikon 50mm f/1.8g
Two memory card
DSLR bag
= RM9884

D610
Nikon 85mm f1.8g
Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G
Two memory card
DSLR bag
= RM12k+ (I'm willing to fork a little for that wide angle lens)


Now you can see the difference in term of price and the uses of it. Of course, I like the faster auto focus and the bigger resolution, but with D610 body price, I can get very good lens(yeah, people always say lens first, camera later or whatever it is). Aside that, I can approach in different way which is excluded the 14-24mm to get 85mm+35mm, tripod, speedlight and another accessories with the D610.
But here come my doubt again, 39 AF point really enough in near future? MP is totally fine for me and I don't really like to upgrade any further in camera body alone.

Which one should I go for?

I do not print any of mine yet but I just kept 'em myself currently. I afraid the 39 F is not enough for many group in outdoor like street shopping, night market etc and I like to shoot more portrait than landscape. But I think it's fine to have 39 AF, I think.

Thanks goldfries here, I have considering D750 before hand but that flare issue under the sun reflection though but even they fixed it for me after then it still may appear some issues a little. So I don't want risk for that. May think about it again

You're right for that! The main issues or rather hesitation is still between 51 - 39 AF point for this both camera.

That is a very good in depth review of the D750 and very informative. Yes, I got the words whereas the flare issues only created from capturing images from awkward corner like you described and rumor wrote that Nikon released 2nd/new batch that no longer have the flare issue in the camera. That bride shots there alone hook me up to getting this D750, let alone the white balance. I could take the D750, the price for those specfication is really nice. Thanks goldfries

Sharp photos and every is nice in exposure/composition! The detail taken like with a D810.

I made up my mind to choose the D750. Very impressive camera for the price, not to mention the flip up/down screen able to capture exceptional photos!
