Hi all! I'm currently working on my new home renovation project and I had decided few months back that I'll go with Xiaomi's ecosystem. Most of it are pretty straightforward (smart lights, gateway, sensors connected to gateway etc.) but I'm very confused with this two switches, hopefully they someone can shred some lights for me https://www.aqara.com/en/wireless_mini_swit...v20180919142632https://www.aqara.com/en/86plug.html?v20180919142632Am not sure if I understood the items correctly, but both can connect to Mi Home via Gateway, And with that, does it mean that both switches can be programmed directly in Mi Home to set up rules such as - single press / double press / long press - to turn on / off any smart devices connected in Mi Home - to play sound or doorbell in gateway - to enable security alarm mode - etc.

QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 21 2018, 10:13 PM) Mostly yes to your questions Btw there is a new mini switch that can do more now besides single press/long/double Thanks for your reply. Are you using both this switches? I was puzzled by the aqara support (taobao) and they kept saying the 2nd link can't program stuff... Which model is that new mini switch? Was it the one in my first link?

For Aqara's Double Wall Switch ZigBee version (connected to Gateway), if one of the switch is unused and not wired - can we still program it in Mi Home to open any existingly connected Smart Home devices (i.e. Yeelight)?

QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 29 2018, 01:19 PM) Thanks! Will just get the double (Wall) switch then.. although only planning to wire one of it. The another button keep as spare / control existing Yeelight.

QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 29 2018, 05:11 PM) You’re welcome Btw even when both buttons are connected, you can still control one more function by pressing both buttons simultaneously but the individual wired buttons would also toggle unlike the wireless remote switch That's interesting to know. So basically wall-switches are kinda like 2-in-1? It controls the hardwired Light + any additional programmed function on its button? QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 29 2018, 06:59 PM) Both the switches in your links have newer versions with more functions You can get the new wireless remote switch from here - https://aqara.tmall.com/shop/view_shop.htmThe new mini wireless doesnt seem to be available at that store - try ask them I'm getting the new 86wireless switch to try. Hopefully it works flawlessly (planning to pair directly with Mi Home devices in the ecosystem via Gateway).
