Hey guys,

i'm looking to get samsung's smartthings hub v3. I can't seem to decide whether US or UK version is better (because of Zwave). Can someone share some views?

Can the UK Zwave work with china's Zwave products?

Appreciate the help guys.... thanks a bunch

Better to get the ones already tested and working from the HA forum.
For z-wave stick, just make sure it's on the same frequency for your z-wave devices since they vary based on region.

Thanks.... will any zwave stick work as in compatible with HA? or must be from a few brands only....

Anyone here using Z-wave for their automations? if so... I would like to know what sensors are you using and what brand.

I'm using Smartthings Hub, with Konnected Alarm INTERFACE along with Neo Coolcam's door & motion sensors. Integrated with Alexa and also using Actiontiles for Panels.

Is your Smartthings hub on MY frequency? Zwave devices being sold here mostly proprietary.
*
i'm on EU Z-Wave frequency as there are more sensors for the EU region.

Few years ago maybe, now many Zwave 919.8MHz devices readily available. Anyway what sensors are you looking for? Maybe I can check it out for you.
*
Well i still believe that the 868.4 EU has more as UK shares the same frequency as China and as we all know it. China has like everything.

Well i suppose, it's not about me looking for something as i think it's a matter of price. Next on my list will be Gas / smoke / water leak detector...

I was just wondering what is everyone using here that is of Z-wave that's all.

I'm also interested in what the rest is doing for automation... Anything cool?

I'm using Homekit and therefore anything that works with it. Devices are generally expensive until Apple allowed software authentication middle of last year. Xiaomi in the guise of Aqara has since made quite a fair number of devices available at affordable prices. So mine are mostly Aqara and Xiaomi Zigbee and a few devices on wifi from Xiaomi and other manufacturers.
*
Great to know that... So how has it been in terms of reliability for Zigbee devices? in total how many zigbee devices do you have? are you using a single wifi or mesh wifi router?

How good is the air purifier? Can eliminate dust?
*
Air purifier doesn't eliminate dust; it just help (quite a lot) in reducing dust particles flying around. I have purifier all over the house i still have dust. just not as bad and especially better if you're allergic to it.
