I'm planning to start to integrate smat stuff into my home and wanted to start small first. So far my research come up with sonoff and broadlink tc2.

Just need to confirm my understanding. Sonoff is connected to their cloud hence hub not needed. For Broadlink tc2, you will need the rm pro hub as well, because the tc2 sends RF signal to the hub and that's where you control from the app right? So the TC2 itself doesn't have wifi function in it just sending rf signals to the hub. (which i think also would have lower electricity consumption?)

I'm planning to integrate those to google home.

Thanks for the reply. Too bad sonoff needs neutral wiring and i just checked my wall, there isn’t any. Just live wire.

Hope broadlink will integrate into google home soon.

My current old wall socket is 2 gang and i found 2 live wires going into different screws. For the wifi sockets, there’s only one live in screw for the two buttons. Will it be okay if I twist the both live wires and plug into the single live in screw in the wifi socket? Dont wanna fry the house up.

Edit : Ignore this. It's actually the grounding wire.

anyone having problem with broadlink tc-2 keeps resetting itself? I have to re-add it back to the home pro everytime it resets itself as the existing switches in the app would not work anymore.

Sonoff cloud servers having problems this few days? Switches becomes offline very often
