Hey guys, need a smart wall plug for my room. Original socket was 3 gangs, 2 for lights 1 for fan. I am Using HomeKit. Any recommendation? Aqara wall switch with its hub or Yeelight’s?
I think you weren't talking about socket but switch, right?
I saw this yesterday. But I can't find where to get it or its price even though it's from Philips Malaysia website. The website itself also has a broken "Where to buy" part
Is this easily available is lighting stores or Philips Stores?
Probably just advertise and not sold here. Typical Philips and many big companies style
on 7/24...will consume some power right? ir blaster must pointing straight to the receiver? can control block by wall?
how the ir blaster look like?
thanks ..
Power consumption would be just like your TV in stand-by mode basically, or even your air-cond waiting for IR signal command.
Plenty of image if IR Blaster if you Google. Yes, IR will be block by wall but Blaster can be controlled from your phone which will trigger blaster located anywhere in place where you have devices or appliances controlled by IR.
Anyway, the LED color is not really consistent. Just like colored tiles used in bathroom for example. Different batch may have slightly different tint to its color. Same as RGB. To be able to create a true white color, you need same amount of intensity of RGB color which may not be the case and due to the tint mentioned the result is not consistant.
This is one of the main reason between general LED light and professional grade LED light. They measure color data like color coordinates, color temperature, color rendering index (CRI), color purity or color deviation.
I won’t be surprised that there are ones that support both bands, but defo none that support 5ghz exclusively for sure since it has a worse range compared to 2.4ghz band.
In theory yes, but it is just house distance. I found my 5GHz covers my whole house just fine with at least connection at 200Mbps on single WiFi router.
Yes, I've never seen any device that support only 5GHz but both.
Not sure about that, but someone did recommend to install this wifi module and keep the traditional switch
I have come across switches that can be used as two way in Shopee before. Did not bookmark it. One side is RF type with battery and the other side just need to replace the existing switch.
Guys, lately I bought a WiFi motion sensor. The purpose is to turn on the fan for my dog when he’s around.
When motion sensor detected motion, the fan turns on (quite straight forward) But when my dog is sleeping (no motion) at the coverage of the sensor, my fan turned off.
How should I do the setting so that when my dog is sleeping in front of the sensor, the fan will continue to turn on?
Since it is called motion sensor, then it only detect motion. Sadly also, many infrared sensor is actually motion sensor. These are PIR sensor (Passive Infrared Sensor) where it has 2 IR sensor side by side. Once there is movement, the difference in measurement between the two sensor will trigger the switch which means movement sensor, not detecting body heat.
You need to get an Active Infrared Sensor which detect presence of infrared like body heat.
Any keywords for it? i tried just googling, but no results though, just the same pir sensor listed So basically no manufacturer came out yet for the smart active ir because of the high cost? Do you think this one utilizing active ir also? The specs just list the device using some kind of radar sensing
