did u get the square unit?

it needs to be linked to the xiaomi gateway. not sure whether it must be version 2, but i got both and working fine.

and yes some of the stats are in chinese, although u can read the figures anyways.

i use it to control my chinese cheap dehumidifier which is linked to a xiaomi / aqara wall socket, turning it on / off at preset levels. working well but still need to fine tune the triggering humidity points.

that xiaomi humid and temp device doesn't speak?

no it is just a sensor but dont ask me more cause i also blur how it works

Why you want such sensor? We don't have 4 season.

Everyday also same season.

check humidity. when humidity reaches a certain level - turn on dehumidifier or aircon
the thing only cost a few bucks. if i can add it to my mi home app then fine. if need more equipment then forget it

These few day I face the same problem. Can't connect through wifi. I try to restart the wifi router still the same. Other smart devices working fine. I try to contact the technician, he said probably our ISP provider (unifi) block their domain.

I also found out that Mi gateway also can't stream the radio channel anymore. And also failed to update the Mi gateway to latest version.

mine was okay again
but at this moment all my three sonoff flashing (cant connect to server)
good thing is it still work using schedule

So cannot control from phone anymore ?

I see fine from the apps. Go back and see can control or not.

I got one DOA S20-UK and one unknown S20-EU

I intent to make one workable S20-UK out of these two

i think i found the problem - transformer of some kind came loose with broken wire

sonoff - not server problem but maybe our own wifi routers. i said this because some of mine are online and some are offline so its not due to unifi or ewelink's server

Yesterday test ON/OFF the sonoff, ok yor.

Have you go into the router setting and see the sonoff IP still there when no connection.

If say 1 day the iTead cease operation close shop, what happen to our sonoff ? The whole world sonoff cannot function anymore since no more server.

last nite, some were ok, some not. then this morning all ok
its like that wan lah.

cease operation then flash to other firmware lo like what they are doing now. i wont be worried though

btw i managed to make one S20 smart socket work out of two bad ones

Got custom fimware ma, use cloud mqtt or your own local mqtt and it's normal usage as usual.
So no worries about sonoff not functioning in the long run

i forgot to ask you did you kena tax your laptop from gearbest?

That is a switching transformer with a broken plastic bobbin. That broken part have a terminal which the wire solder on it and insert into the pcboard hole.

i want to repair it and maybe use it for power extension or something
