I have ordered my macpro **custom configuration** from reputable apple dealer.

Was promised to get it within 4 weeks.. and now its 6th week, and still no sign.

I just cannot figure out what's delaying it, everybody else around the world are getting theirs very quick.

to be honest with you. I've order a low end 2.0 MacPro, waited for more than 6 weeks as well. Get fed-up and bought the stock MacPro instead.

some local apple store dealers are lying bastards. they promise you a cock load of stuffs, telling you they have things which they don't and then make you wait. VERY LONG.

i had a friend who waited for ages to get his powerbook. as if that's not bad enough, the softwares he wanted along we all wrongly configured too causing frequent crashes.

pisses me off big time..

well,

the whole problem with apple thingy is because of Apple Malaysia is just there to not do anything.

All transactions for Apple in Malaysia will need to go via distributors.

Imagine..

U have...

Resellers --> Distributors --> Apple

on top of that there're actually stock around. the problem is they didn't act in time and the stock went out.

That's what happen to my 2.0 MacPro. There was 5 units arrived 2 weeks after i ordered and the reseller didin't "booked" one for me.... *sigh*

Maybe you should consider Singapore if you "die die" want the top MacPro.

Thing is a lot of Mac users have held off upgrading until the release of the MacPro. Hence they are moving a LOT of these machines. That they are also wicked fast, and extremely stable has helped too.

This also means that they are rather in short supply.

I can understand your frustration though. In my case however, I went in to VR Tech to pick up my .Mac renewal box and ended up walking out with a MacPro.... Zero wait time...

I ordered mine from them (based on advise of this forum). I know its totally not their fault.

anywayl.. good news, after much pressuring sandy managed to call the distributor who on the other hand managed to call Apple Singapore.

My macpro is already assembled and will be shipped to singapore, arriving this weekend.

Only can ship back to kl later next week as trucks are banned from using the highway during festive period. Sigh... but at least, got sight..

tmrw... hopefully i would be able to errr... err.. surf faster? thumbup.gif

Congratz for the Mac Pro Fazli! Been reading your frustration over here and MyMUG. At least you will get a Mac Pro unlike some of us who are forced to be satisfied by lesser mac. But at least it's a mac rclxm9.gif

i must say..

am actually quite happy with how Sandy from VR Tech handled the situation. Despite the fact that i was very unhappy at first, and being very unreasonable in accepting excuses (obviously)... she managed it well.. and i would definitely buy more apple stuff from them.

But u know lar, spending so much money, buying such a fast machine... the eager-ness damn kao kao.. ha ha..

now... wat shall i use it for unsure.gif unsure.gif
