I did not post my first bad experience encounter with GD Express (a.k.a GDex) when I purchased some goods from Lazada. No more second chance for them, I decide to post my second bad encounter with GD Express when Xiaomi Malaysia changed their preferred courier from Fedex to GD Express.

GDex customer service is giving all sorts of empty promises for last three days. My parcel from Xiaomi is still in MIA status.

The standard reply from GDex customer service is we will call you back soon. The fact is they NEVER call back to update you!

Below is my email sent to Xiaomi Malaysia on 15th April.

A complaint against GD Express for order# 8206463193 delivery service

Hi Xiaomi Customer Service,

I am very upset with your new courier company, GD Express.

– The first delivery failed on 13rd April 2015 due to main gate to my home is locked and the courier man was lazy to call my hand phone number which I have given to Xiami during order placement.

– I have called up GD Express on 14th April 2015 to make a secondary delivery request and they have promised the secondary delivery is on afternoon 15th April 2015.

– Unfortunately, the second delivery is never happened on 15th April 2015 as promised. I called them up at 6.00 PM, 15th April 2015, but GD Express pick up hotline customer service has no clue that there was arrangement for second delivery.

The reason given is Gdex shipping department is another department, not under the customer service department.

Can you arrange other courier service like Fedex to deliver the parcel to me?

GD Express is a hopeless company which I have faced similar delivery problem when I ordered goods from Lazada. GD Express should be blacklisted by Xiaomi.

I just got my xiaomi packages from Fedex, they didnt change.

They have 2 companies. Not all can be fulfilled by 1 company due to the bulk.

Which area are you from . Just bad luck I guess, all my purchases have been sent by Fedex.

LOL

Xiaomi website only says Fedex and UPS are their appointed couriers.

No mention at all that GDex is their appointed courier in Xiaomi webpages I visited. I only noticed GDex is a NEW appointed courier after the order confirmation.

My heart said my goodness, I have to deal with that poor company again.

Now xiaomi has 3 courier service company in partnership
FedEx, GDex and Citylink
I don't know they choose courier company randomly or based on your shipping address.
GDex and citylink are quite good in my area. They will call everytime before they deliver.

My area is under GDex Cheras. Their Cheras staff from office manager to deliver man are terrible bad. They are good in giving empty promises and excuses. Poslaju is much better than GDex.

I recalled last incident with Lazada order.

The Malay courier guy from GDex did tell me that his phone top-up is used up and also cheating on delivery. He dared to update Lazada system that the secondary delivery was done, but in reality he never showed up.

I challenged him to watch CCTV tape in front of his manager to prove who is a liar. He was chickened out.

I always remind Lazada and Lelong sellers do not use GDex if they want my money.

Can you provide screenshot? Because all I see is FedEx, gdex and citylink from here : http://www.mi.com/my/service/shipping/

I only see Fedex and UPS in the order page before I click to confirm and pay the order. Gdex appeared in the order confirmation page is a big surprise to me too.

Do not ask me why there is discrepancy in Xiaomi order and above page.

I faced similar problem with Gdex as well. Placed my order on Redmi 2 on 6/4, shipped out on 8 but only received my parcel on 11th. 1st attempt I was not at home. Called on next morning was told they'll come but never showed up. End up I waited at their office on 11th morning and pick-up myself. Lousy GDEX.

Seems like it's xiaomi's fault. They didn't update their website properly.
Even the item I received, the backside of receipt still write : "Free Shipping for purchases above RM 70 within klang valley"

After I complained to Lazada about GDex suck service, they seem to add Citylink in their courier list and GDex is no more sole provider.

I will remind Lazada and any sellers that I will cancel order of I see GDex is used in my order. rclxms.gif

I called to Xiaomi 1-800 this afternoon and a girl with heavy mainland accent is quite helpful and promised to bring my case to her supervisor.

fedex courier man scold people one... is like, wanted to kill all your family... better stay away from fedex...

Really? Any proof?

I used to have a corporate account with Fedex for my overseas business. All Fedex staff members I deal with are very professional unlike GDex.

I will record my conversations with GDxe in future and upload it to internet.

Gdex boy just sent the parcel to me at around 11am today after being late for two days.

He demanded to see my IC, a first time in my life to receive goods from couriers although they have right to see IC for identity verification purpose.

I did not want to argue with him, just showed my IC and then signed off the parcel. Usually I would say thank you to courier boy, but not for this time.
