Playpen :
You need to teach hepy which is use newspaper is the right place for hepy to peepoo not on the floor. but then i know sometime accident will happen oso with young pup like hepy that your pup peepoo outside the tray or everywhere inside the playpen.then you have to immediately correction hepy striaght on the spot if you mention the peepoo outside the tray and firmly say "NO". Bring hepy to the spot where you want hepy to do bussiness.bring hepy to the newspaper and wait till hepy finish it poo/pee. and praise it.

Cage :
so syrian u now are comfirm to let hepy pee/poo in the cage? so ok the..collect it poo with tissue in the cage whr u wan her to do it busines at cage. after u put the poo/pee at the cage, bring it which is carry ur furkid to smell the pee/poo which is u put the pee/poo inside the cage and let hepy smell inside. praise it after it smell even though it didnt do it thr..

repeat and repeat till hepy understand this training.

1. After the hepy eats or drinks bring it right away to the cage to do its business, wait till hepy poo/pee. normally puppy will poo/pee after meal.

2. dun lock inside hepy cage while hepy wanted to do bussiness in the cage because worry tat hepy will tot u are punish him and hepy will not poo/pee there already.

5. ALways praise ur furkid, once it does it business with treats of course is more effective

no wor .. Hepy is weird ar. He LOVES the cage a lot!!! I open the cage door, he also won't come out. He prefers to stay in the cage and he always sleep inside. Just now when I carry him out from cage, he start to walk in round and sniff the floor ... show me sign he want to pee or poo already ... i faster put him back in cage. THen he straight away lay down and continue sleep again in the cage . He don't want to pee poo anymore when he is in cage. He always pee poo at my door there. Last nite he pee poo at my door again. Last time at nite he noes how to go to tray to pee poo ler but lately dunno why he kepe doing his business at the back of my door. He's not marknig territory coz if marking territory, it'd only be urinating. He urinate and poo too at the back of my door. . Why suddenly like that one ?

well,normally dog if tat place is for it sleeping place right, it will not use that place as a poo/pee place edi.

yalor .. datz y i liao . Now I removed the tray from the cage and I put it at the door there. See later he wakes up, he will go there pee or poo or not. If he does, then meaning it's a habit already that he always go there pee poo. Then need to slowly teach liao. Cannot always pee poo at the door there lar .. I kenot put the tray there coz I need to walk in and out from my room. Big possibility, he will not use the cage as his toilet ady coz he will voluntarily walk in on himself to sleep or play or rest. He treats it as his home neh - sigh. I still can't catch his timing pattern yet. This morning I fed him at 6 am untli now .. he still havent poo yet . That's why i'm having problem to train him.

maybe Hepy confruse lor, that's why always go there pee/poo , and maybe it become a habit edi . so i hope ur method can work then.Hmmm . normally dog willl poo after meal , before meal , or after play . then they will poo . well my furkid is after meal then will poo wan . is better to know the timing when ur furkid wanted to go for poo/pee. is much more easier. but no worries then , ur hepy is still young wurt. but put tray at back door is quite uncovenient to u lor..u say tat ur own have to go in and out right . well try ur method 1st then.

Could it be possibly that he's sked of pee poo?? . He's so geng wor!! This morning eat , then lunch time i gave him a bit of food to makan ... until now 330 pm liao, he still havent pee poo yet wor!!!!! He after meal, before meal, after play, etc ... he also won't pee poo one. His timing not cun one. He pee poo whenenver he likes to. That's why I couldn't catch hold of his timing. If i noe his timing, then I can easily train him to pee poo ady .

He jz woke up not long ago. I take him to the tray at door there. He dun want to pee poo. He looks at me with his smiling face . Then when I backed off, he walked to the original spot where I used to put the tray. He sniff the floor and start walking round and round. I fast fast put the tray back to that spot and carry him and put him on top of it. He sniffed a while .. then walked away. He walked back to his cage to oi oi again . He totally din pee poo at all today - so geng!!

i think u better put back the tray under the cage. Puppy's bladder is small wor, who knows later he accidentaly pee or poo but u dun have a tray under the cage???
Or like this lah, when u put Hepy back to his cage, put back the tray under it.
WHen u let him roam free, take the tray and put at where u wan Hepy to do his business loh.

BTW, the tray got his pee and poo smell or not?? Mayb he knows that the tray is under the cage, can say that its part of his house, so he dun wanna dirty it leh........

I dun think he will ever pee poo in his cage. He just love the cage so much. He treats the cage as his "home sweet home". He play play play, then suddenly will run back into his cage to rest a while. Then come out play playl play again. Then jump back to cage rest again. I didn't lock him in cage one and even if I do when i need to go out, he didn't even whine or bark in the cage. He just love it so much. So, i don't think he will dirty his own "home" with pee poo. Last nite he was in his cage, then he suddenly jumped out from the cage and ran to living room to urinate . So, i dun haf to worry if he pee poo in cage, then bottom no tray. I only put the tray back when I need to go off for whole day - lock him in cage (when i'm in campus or go out buy stuffs). The tray got his pee poo smell. I never wash the tray at all. Problem is he is confused where to pee poo ar. When I put the tray at the door there, he dun want to pee poo at all OR he walk back to the original spot last time where I place the tray. Then when i place the tray at the original spot last time, he will pee poo at door. Somewhat, he gave me the impression that he doens't like to pee poo on newspaper, he rather do it on the FLOOR !!

Hep so love his own cage ar...so it mean he will not poo/pee at cage lor. if tat place is just like his home then.Hmm...nvm , now u just put the tray with his poo/pee with newspaper . see how it goes. normally dog will not poo/pee at it sleeping place. cuz ur Hepy although nt at cage and sleep with u , after 6am like tat hepy will ask u to help it clean up it poo/pee rite. so it mean ur hepy very like clean wan lor. nvm try ur method 1st then

wah ... I put the tray back to the original spot coz I saw him jz like want to do bisnis there ma. Then he secretly go pee behind the door when I left for kitchen!! TWICE !!!!!!!!

that was last week when I first bought the cage home. I locked him in the cage when I went to campus and I guess he kenot tahan, so he jz poo in the cage and sleep on it . Now .. day time, Hepy will walk into the cage by himself without hesitation and sleep in the cage but nite time, he will sleep on teh floor next to my tilam OR he will sleeps on my bed with me lor.

if is like this ..ur hepy cage oso got the hepy's poo/pee marking there.
so that's why Hepy very very confrusing now gua. and then now Hepy tot it got 3 places to do it own bussiness . 1. backdoor 2.tray 3.cage

it tot this 3 spot is for it to poo/pee edi .so either 2 have to clear those marking of it poo/pee smell edi.if not , Hepy will be more more confruse and it will bcome habit .

Have to let him pee poo at tray when he is free to roam lor. I jz came home not long ago .. I opened his cage let him come out hor, he also dun want to come out. When he saw me opened the room door, he wagged his tail super fast and stand up. Then i fast fast open the cage door, he also dun want to come out ar. He go lick lick hte tray ... then play with his toys INSIDE the cage .

I'll use vinegar to clean the marking smell again and see how it goes. Now dun really have time to train him pee poo coz final is here.

Next minute when I was typing message here, he peed on my bed!!!! 1/2 of my bed WET with his urine and DAMN SMELLY!!!! . His urine even went through to the floor and I thought he peed on the floor only. I showed him the way to the tray and say kenot pee on floor. I still give him treat. Then suddenly realised why my bed SO WET????? And i smelt it - DAMN HEAVY URINE SMELL!! WTF!! WHY DID HE DO THAT?? He first time peed on my bed and normally, he zzz on my bed wud!! Why he pee on my bed???????

haha, Syrian is mad now..........wat 2 do, Since Hepy is still small, can do nothing. Thats the reason y i dun let my puppy sleep on my bed. If i wan to sayang him on my bed, I'll lay one babby comforter on top of the bed and put her on it. She is restricted to leave the comforter. Once Fifi pee on the comforter, luckily din pass through and kena my bed.

Of course mad liao!! He has never peed on my bed and he loves to go to my bed to oi oi one ler. Why his sleeping place suddenly become his toilet???? I still thot he's such a good boy and always praise him good boy coz neva pee on my bed before unlike the shihtzu I had last time (owez pee on my bed one). But i really dunno why he did it ttoday!!! I really kenot understand what is in his mind lar!! SIGH!
