The thing i want to know that item ship from Italy to Penang, (your address automatically selected for you, unlike in taobao main site you have to manually select "oversea")

Do we need to select parcel forwarder in China?

price or exchange rate is the bigger concern despite forwarder or direct shipping.

some forwarder offer exchange rate 1.71, but the shipping take 4 week.
good for bulk order or bigger item.

fast shipping normally easy kena kastam & expensive, u can received within 7 day. (but actually is depend on the seller (fast or selowpoke respond).

beli barang easy, but shipping & kena kastam kepala sakit.
My thunder bolt A10 still in kastam side altou tak kena kastam tax. it have been 1.5 month aready.

I regularly buy stuff from taobao, and yes need a forwarder. Taobao sellerr -> forwarder -> our doorstep. I can recommend you a few forwarder if you want. 22CNY/kg for first 10kg and 19CNY/kg if items 10kg above

That's why i will try to avoid agent or forwarding companies if I can

See items i received from ebay yesterday so light and directly from seller, no tax and free shipping.

user posted image

Imagine if these items use ezipos or any freaking forwarding agents, they will repack this to make it at least 500g and charge you shipping and worse thing is their shipment will definitely go to custom in hoping that you will pay custom clearance fee to them which lead to the ultimate crap that you have to pay duty tax as well.

free shipping or not depend on the seller.
normaly small item shipping cost USD 5 = RM 18.
but forwarder only charge RM 11 or RM 12. Actually fee is RM 8, so they songlap sikit lo.

the bigger issue is Kastam, kastam open your parcel, box spoiled & some small item may missing...aka missing parcel.
missing parcel maximun refund is 20% of the item price.

Kastam yg cause alot of trouble.

i buy from aliexpress, no need to headache about agent or forwarder

for small and cheap item and small quantity, not much different on the price tag compare to taobao

but if you want to buy in bulk or more expensive item, then there is a price difference, just my 2 cents
