weird sound

Recently i hv install a 4ch amp in my car. after 2days when i use my horn, it suddenly hv tis'PICKKK' sound (like speaker pecah sound). send it back 2 the acc shop, the guy say it is normal, coz normally ppl who install amp also will hv tis kind of problem wan. ask him y. he say bcoz of the usage of the electric in my car are not accurate. after tis horn settle d, then the brake comes in. everytime i brake, it sound 'PICKKK'. but tis time the sound is not as loud as the horn wan. So i wan 2 ask wheater u guys got come across tis kind of problem not?? n how u guys settle it??? Thanks.

Change your installer, he is talking crap.

but i duno how 2 desribe the sound lah! in chinese they call it something like "Fei Chi sound". infact some of my fren install in other places also got tis kind of sound. my fren wan lagi teruk, everytime when he step the acceletor, the sound follow up 2 the speaker.

1. check ur grounding - dont ground too near battery/engine 2. alternator carbon brush - last time my fren's wira got this sound..then his alternator kong after few days...carbon finish..after put in new carbon then no more this sound 3. spark plug cable leak - old spark plug cable will somehow 'leak' the high voltage to the chassis ground...causing the aeroplane sound 4. HU/amp filter kong

wat ever thing u do.. juz don't install the suspressor... go to a better shop and ask for a proper grounding.. don listen to those fellar giving u stupid excuses... the less knowledge that u know the more they will try 2 bully u..  maybe howiechoo can help u out..

Most probably it has something to do with the cabling. I've a friend that encountered a similar problem after he has installed high-end XLO cables into his system.
Your RCA cable needs to be checked/shielded or changed. It's picking up all sorts of car noises.

They told me tat tis is 2 avoid any unwanted noise came out from the speaker. But my car also kena.

that silver paper is called aluminium foil. but i never know that got ppl wrap this aluminium foil for amp installation.. u better g0 back 2 that sh0p and sc0ld them up side down.. is there any place we can complaint this kind of ppl?

Btw, is filter same as fuse? most new hu..this thing is inside the amplifier/hu itself.. but some old HU do come with a little small black box at the 12v line..inside it is a few capacitor to cut off unwanted noise
