1) turn off firewalls and antivirus you may have
2) upgrade firmware

aiyo.. just bought it few days ago, need to upgrade firmware ?

ok, another question, currently I have the following devices:

1. Linksys ADSL2 Modem (AM300-Annex A)
2. Netgear Wireless Router (MR814 V2)

i think we can have a few combination of setting here. not sure which one is the best, please give input and how I can set up those structure.

currently, i have it setup like below:

1. Linksys ADSL Modem:
Encapsulation: PPPoE mode
DHCP:On
DSL Modulation : Auto
IP : 192.168.1.1

2. Netgear wireless router
- no login required
- wireless On
- DHCP: Off
- IP : 192.168.1.100

Connection:
From Modem ethernet --> Wireless Router LAN port 1
PC (Fixed IP) --> Lan port 2
Other wireless device (Auto IP) --> Wireless AP

Note: As you can see, I never use the WAN port in the Wireless router, because I dont want to get 2 IP in my LAN setup.

Setting B:
1. Linksys ADSL Modem:
Encapsulation: Bridge Mode only
DHCP:Off
DSL Modulation : Auto
IP : 192.168.1.1

2. Netgear wireless router
- Login Required, PPPoE Mode
- wireless On
- DHCP: On
- IP : 192.168.1.1
Connection:
From Modem ethernet --> Wireless Router WAN
PC (Fixed IP) --> Lan port 2
Other wireless device (Auto IP) --> Wireless AP

I am trying on this setting B, but i cant get internet connection.. sad.gif

any idea why ??

and any other combination?

thanks for your feedback!! thumbup.gif

here is the setting that i use....for u guys as reference..
AM 300 (connect to wireless router WAN port)
Encapsulation : Bridge mode only
DHCP:off
Firewall: OFF
DSL modulation : T1.413 Issue 2 (I notice that AUTO mode sometimes connected at  wrong speed)
IP : 192.168.1.2

WRT54G
login required, PPPoE mode
DHCP: ON (dun need this if u use static IP for ur computer)
Firewall: ON
IP:192.168.1.1

This setting always work for me.  smile.gif

hi cyberic,

can you access AM300 modem directly from ur PC?
my setting looks similiar to yours except the IP for AM300, i couldnt remember what IP i set for my AM300... die lah smile.gif

hence i cant go in to AM300 and check for my DSL modulation.
