imho, all new things need to run in before they sound nice.

use ori passive will do, i always dun really recommend to custom your passive, if u can spend a fortune on ur passive why not top up to either ur hu, speakers or amp....


if ur setup very highend already, and u want to fine tune then yes...

i already bought a P80 2nd hand, maybe i will try active and learn how to fine tune the sound on this weekend rclxms.gif

Good... if u willing to learn then go for it...

make sure u understand your speakers and amps specs, u also need to know what is highpass, lowpass n bandpass, what freq to feed ur speakers cause u got no protection anymore, ur mp direct feed ur speakers freq n power...

sifu~~~can teach a bit how to tune for suitable the speaker regarding the highpass, lowpass and bandpass ah?? and what means for mp..??

Correct me if im wrong on this theory.

HPF = High pass filter = Sends high frequency signals out to your speaker
LPF = Low Pass Filter = Usually for Sub, sends low frequencies to your sub/low
Bandpass = Mixed of the above

Before u fiddle with that, Know your speakers response range. If you put it too low you can risk spoiling a voice coil. too high and it will distort. If you still keep your manual for your speakers, then u can play around but never go below its FS.

distortion happens when you push the system to over its limitations... usually the main thing is how you set your amplifier's gain knobs according to your HU RCA output...

as for xover points, never go below [ Fs * 2 ]

today i already go for active with P80, the sound so nice rclxms.gif

but i having a problem, the sound for the rear \ subwoofer is not working.. there is no output signal for the subwoofer..and i need share the mid output to the subwoofer just can worked..

anyone having this problem for P80? isnt setting problem for the HU or the rear \ subwoofer output already have problem?
