nice word "tmpricks". LOL!. anyway, from your description, you are throttled to high heaven. I bet you can't even connect to the tracker, right? that's why you can only get 3 peers and 2 seeders while in the swarm there is 2000+ seeders. one of the signs that you are throttled badly is that you can't connect to the tracker when everyone else in the rest of the world are able to do so. the next obvious sign is that you can only connect to peers inside malaysia. welcome to the world of throttling!

either your friend's line is miscapped at 3Meg or he somehow hacked his connection to 3Meg because there is no such thing as a 3Meg package for Streamyx. Another possibility is that your friend is using a corporate 2Meg package that was upgraded to 3Meg. whatever the reason, tmnut has no right to reduce our speeds because we already paid for it and we deserve to get what we paid for. as for your download speed going to max at midnight, not everyone here can download full speed at midnight like you because most of us here are throttled 24/7. guys like them didn't pay to be throttled like that, now did they?

Well..they are just reducing our P2P connection..not the whole thing..but the technician was also kinda mad..coz he cant download anymore movies laugh.gif

The speed I think is fast but the thing is the TMpricks KacaU the P2P programs~ vmad.gif

Then again, if they do improve the speed but still kacau P2P = Useless laaa

I am downloading some H-stuff (since I've nothing else to download) from Gigeshare.com at max speed (at 58-60KBps / 512kbps package), but when it comes to torrent = 0.00KBps DL/UPL vmad.gif

i don't know that... let's think positive for this thing... they are adding more bandwidth and i don't see why they need to throttle us in the future... i guess they know already many people are angry with them... if they keep on throttling our bandwidth, i guess they will be in serious problem in the future... and yeah, THINK POSITIVE although right now, deep inside my little, tiny, cute heart feels like wanna explode... but one word for this, patience... thumbup.gif

If it means more bandwidth at lower cost, then it does means alot since they might ease up on p2p throttling... no one knows. we'll have to wait and see...

right now they are doing this to reduce the cost of international line usage. its not like they dont have the bandwidth to allow p2p, more like they doesnt want to pay for the usage cost

yes, it makes me sick too. i hope you and your friends all leave this lame country for a better country with better goverment and infrastructure. tmnut's services are lousy because of the support it gets from the corrupt government which gives it the monopoly. as far as i am concerned the BN baboons can stick their "tanahair" right up their candyass because it's full of deadwood and braindead people. even a communist country like china and vietnam has better services and infrasturture. their "tanahair" is nothing more then the biggest laughing stock in the whole wide world.

Guys, guys...do you SERIOUSLY think other countries are better than ours? Unless we move to a country like Japan (and be able to speak THEIR language fluently), we're still going to be treated like third-class citizens, especially amongst the ang-moh. Its the same everywhere you go. At least here you don't get spat at while walking down the street (the spitting is a bit more subtle).

As far as P2P and BB is concerned, as some of the more learned users on this forum put it, even First World (and I use the term liberally) countries have a pay-as-you-download system, so why shoudn't we? We've been damned lucky these last few years and have gotten spoilt I guess.

I'm not supporting the throttling and what have you (I'm affected too, at least as far as my p2p is concerned, browsing is brilliant though), but just take a moment and think what you're trying to say before posting. Life overseas can be a b*tch too.

I am very sure TMNut will not release the throttling on P2P. Its just not justifiable. They are honestly better placing a soft download cap a month and then throttle once the cap is reached on total surfing speeds. Its a fact that a small percentage of users are using a significant portion of bandwith on the network causing major slowdowns.

Of course I don't deny that TMNut is providing a shitty service but all this P2P isn't making things much better. I would be very interested to see a petition from all the P2P users justify why they need so much bandwith and what they are downloading. Wouldn't be surprised 99% is illegal content.

If I were TMNut I would just put a cap and I actually would be very happy if those that complain don't subscribe since they are not making much out of them. Even in Australia all broadband companies have soft cap because when they tried providing unlimited their network could not cope.

Think about it.

Anyone in here uses TVU? I find it strange that TVU is able to reach 100kB+ in seconds but torrent sux big time. If I am not wrong, TVU also uses the P2P technology similar to BT. But why isn't it throttled?

I'm impressed with TMNuts right now. They manage to throttle my download speed to almost 0kBps from normal 100kBps++ TMnuts is very good on making people feels very dissatisfied.
