New small fridge is less than RM700.
second hand is at least RM400 for same size.
Compressor is the major ticket item here and has high demand. Compressor is RM400 (fix up - vacuum and gas).

Second hand fridge with good compressor are strip down and sold off as new compressor.
If not so good then sell off as the whole fridge

Those things you use for decades if no problem, I think it's worth to buy new.

There plenty of them in malay villages area. Puchong near the LDP toll USJ has plenty of such shops.

After changing Fridge for 2`3 years every time, and seriously, the price of repairing the Fridge can go even more than a new fridge if sent 2`3 times, I decided to go 2nd hand.

And so far my branded 2nd fridge now last even longer than new ones and cost only fraction of the price. And a lot of capacity too. But maybe its just my luck.

Anyway, the fridge I buy is not from 2nd hand shop, but from few Singaporeans are selling used stuff from Singapore in JB. So the models are a bit odd. Like my fridge is tall, not wide because Singaporeans mostly stay is small flats.

But remember, I bought this fridge for about RM400, and it cost about RM1500 new.
So I will not repair it if its broken, its like pakai buang.

But the one I got is cleaned up, but of course I did additional cleaning.
Same like buying 2nd car, never know if previously got some dead guy in the trunk.

Anyway, if I have the money of course I get new one.

In PJ SS2 / 66 there is one shop (satelite trading just behind pelita nasi kandar) selling/fixing alot of second hand things eg washing machine, fridge. tv etc.

Im looking for cheap 2nd hand also location in Sg. Long/Mahkota Cheras..

Only will be using for a year.. Then after that pass it to next person who going to rent the hse.. Lolx..
