Hi. A bike run through a red light and hit my car last month. Guy was mostly fine, my car only got a bit of damage on the front bumper. I doubt that the guy took my details because it was raining heavily. I however, managed to record his plate number.

After I made sure that he's okay, I went to the police to make report. The traffic sergeant said he will file it as 'up to court decision' since the other guy haven't made a report on me.

Now, do I have to inform my insurance company of this little accident? And how do I do that? What should I say?

You can notify your insurance but your NCD will get suspended due to Bank Negara requirement

You can still send an appeal letter to them to release your NCD

Just go to their webpage to download the claim form, fill up and send it to tHem together with police reports and dash cam recording

so better don't notify or anything? it's not like i want to claim insurance for damage or anything. damage was barely noticeable.
