Hi, i was taking my friend to the train station at 4 in the morning and along the way managed to back into a fence, bending it over. I know in your op you mentioned collisions with objects dont usually recquire a poluce report; but i just want to make sure what my course of action shoulde be. Thanks.

My main concern is the tail light, in the impact a piece of the cover got chipped of.

In addition to a crack in the bumper.

The bumper im not so worried about, but im concerned the tail light might get me pulled over by the cops. In your experience, how much would it cost to repair both the bumper and the tail light?

On the subject of insurance; since it's solely my mistake, would claiming insurance for repairs even be possible?

Sorry for bombarding you with questions, i understand this is my fault but nonetheless i want to minimise the cost any way i can.
