Hi All,

I am in a dilemma to choose new monitor as all those new monitors has no VGA port, most of the models that I wishes to have only has HDMI and DP.

I want to ask those experienced users with KVM (VGA only) who successfully convert VGA to either HDMI or DP (I think DP is asking a little too much) can help me to find one that actually works.

I am looking at several models from Dell.
- U2414H

Well, it seems only 1 that fit my bill right now blush.gif

Unless of course there's U2412M that I can still purchase without paying hefty postage to Kuching, Sarawak (I know it's darn heavy).
Any other suggestion are welcome, prefer to have non-glossy panel.

So... I think my story is a bit.. messy?
Please advise. notworthy.gif

And thank you very much. notworthy.gif

You can convert Digital Video to VGA, but you're gonna get worse picture quality

If you are open to getting stuff from taobao (since you have bought stuff from IMSTO, I'd assume you do)
http://s.taobao.com/search?q=dvi+kvm&comme...803581.d4908513

I used to get a cheap one from eBay, unbranded. It works, but the switching leaves something to be desired. I have 8ports ATEN VGA KVMs at work and they are solid as rock. Just order a good branded unit, like ATEN and you should be fine.

Thanks for input, yea, I was thinking about that as well, but unsure since rarely do ppl use high-end units for KVM sweat.gif
Anyway, I've found a unit from Dell that actually has VGA from 2014 model but no HDMI, not so future proof but I think I can live with that for the moment... Dell P2414H.

p/s: I don't buy from ebay or taobao or even IMSTO FYI, I bought the IMSTO keycaps from local friendly MKBer sweat.gif

And I am also using ATEN KVM, a real KVM for multi PC environment thumbup.gif , was using a DLink cheapo and regret that long time ago.

I think I should close this soon... will leave a bit time for others to post their comments... hmm.gif
